STRETCHING APPARATUS
A stretching apparatus for use during a stretching exercise includes a strap and a ratchet device. The strap is configured to attach to a limb of a user. The strap extends through the ratchet device and the ratchet device controls tension in the strap. The ratchet device is positionable between a ratcheting position and a release position. The ratcheting position prevents movement of the strap in a first direction and allows movement of the strap in a second direction. The release position allows movement of the strap in the first direction. The stretching apparatus also includes a remote trigger connected to the ratchet device to move the ratchet device between the ratcheting position and the release position. The stretching apparatus removably connects to support structures and is adjustable between different positions for different stretching exercises.
CHEST COMPRESSION RAIL SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR USING SAME
A removeable and easily attachable/detachable rail system for use with chest compression devices and portable patient carrier boards. The rail system can include an elongated grooved structure providing multiple points of attachment for a chest compression device. The elongated grooved structure is removably affixed to the carrier board using one or more clamp mechanisms adapted to engage a side panel or hand hole of the board. The rail system allows first responders the ability to quickly and efficiently provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation assistance to a patient, while allowing for faster patient transport.
Attachable exercise device for treating and stretching muscles, fascia and joints
An exercise device for stretching muscles, fascia and joints includes a rear base that transitions to a front nipple made from a solid and firm material. The device is attachable rigidly to a stationary structure such as a door jam in numerous different positions for use in a variety of exercises. The device may be attachable via a clamp unit that can be tightened laterally or other attachment means to attach to the door jam. The exercise device may be modular in form made from a plurality of pieces that are attachable to one another to form the device in a solid unitary structure.
Joint mobilization apparatus
A joint mobilization apparatus includes a pulling unit and a power unit. The pulling unit includes a wearable member set for mounting on the patient's joint part, and a rope set connected to the wearable member set. The power unit provides power of reciprocatingly pulling the rope set, and includes a shell member, a motor, and a reciprocation mechanism connected to the motor and the rope set. The reciprocation mechanism is driven by the motor to reciprocate relative to the shell member, so as to pull the rope set to reciprocate the wearable member set and patient's joint part. By using the power unit to drive the pulling unit to pull reciprocatingly for mobilizing the patient's joint part, instead of the therapist's treatment, the therapist's burden in physical strength can be reduced. Furthermore, the joint mobilization apparatus can provide the user to execute various muscle training modes.
Customizable massage device
A customizable massage device, including a main body to be disposed on at least a portion of a body of a user, a pressure assembly disposed at a center of the main body to provide pressure to the body of the user in response to a rotation of the pressure assembly, and an adhesive surface circumferentially disposed on a perimeter of a top surface of the main body to connect to the body of the user, such that the adhesive surface prevents the main body falling off the body of the user.
Portable Massage Ball Assembly
A portable massage ball assembly for facilitating a user to massage their back while seated in a vehicle includes a clasp that is closable around a support such that the clasp can be attached to a seat in a vehicle. A retractor is coupled to the clasp and a cable is integrated into the retractor. Additionally, the cable is drawable outwardly from the retractor. A ball is coupled to the cable such that the ball can be positioned between the seat in the vehicle and a user. In this way the user can massage their back with the ball.
CPR chest compression machine
Embodiments of a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (“CPR”) device are disclosed. A CPR device can include a compression mechanism configured to perform successive CPR compressions on a chest of a patient, the compression mechanism including a support portion configured to be placed underneath a patient, a piston, and a contact surface configured to make contact with the chest at a first orientation with respect to the support portion; and a controller communicatively coupled with the compression mechanism. The controller can be configured to receive at least one input and determine whether the first orientation of the contact surface should be adjusted based on the at least one input. The controller can further, responsive to a determination that the first orientation of the contact surface should be adjusted, cause the contact surface to move so that the contact surface makes contact with the chest at a second orientation with respect to the support portion.
EXERCISE ASSISTING TOOL AND METHOD FOR USING EXERCISE ASSISTING TOOL
An exercise assist tool is used together with an exercise tool used in a supine or seated state, and the exercise assist tool includes a body-axis indicator that allows a user to be conscious of a body axis. The body-axis indicator has a longitudinal direction, and is supported such that the longitudinal direction can be disposed along a craniocaudal axis of the user. The body-axis indicator is a rod member supported so as to be disposed along a craniocaudal axis of the user. The body-axis indicator includes a proximal-side indicator provided in front of a face of the user, and a distal-side indicator provided farther from the user than the proximal-side indicator. The proximal-side indicator is configured to be capable of adjusting a distance from the user.
Devices, systems and methods for self-administered therapy
According to some embodiments, a device configured for self-administered therapy comprises at least two base members, each base member configured to be secured to a surface for mounting the device of said surface, a shaft configured to secure to the at least two base members and extend between the at least two base members, and at least one therapy member configured to be secured relative to the shaft, wherein the at least one therapy member is configured to rotate relative to the shaft during use, wherein the at least one therapy member is configured to be contacted by a user and configured to rotate during use.
DEVICE, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PREVENTION OF DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS
Embodiments provide devices, systems and methods for preventing deep vein (DV) thrombosis (DVT). One embodiment provides a DVT prevention device including a cuff that fits over a patient's knee, an applanator coupled to an inside cuff surface, an expandable member (EM) coupled to the applanator, a pressure source fluidically coupled to the EM and a controller for controlling EM inflation. When the EM is inflated, it applies a force to the applanator which is transmitted to the knee back surface causing a popliteal vein (PV) under the cuff to be compressed so as to increase backpressure behind the compressed PV and subsequently increase the velocity of blood flow in the leg DV's when the EM is deflated. The EM can be inflated in a cycle including pulsed inflation, inflation hold and relaxation. The cycles can be repeated and adjusted to achieve a desired increase of blood flow/velocity in leg DV's.
