Method of controlling washing machine
11193230 · 2021-12-07 · ·

A method of controlling a washing machine includes washing laundry received in the drum by water mixed with detergent, performing a spin dry operation, and performing a rinse operation. The spin dry operation includes rotating the drum at a spin dry speed to allow the laundry to rotate along with the drum without falling from a highest point of the drum, and draining water from the tub while rotating the drum at the spin dry speed. The rinse operation includes decelerating the drum from the spin dry speed to a laundry adherence speed lower than the spin dry speed, supplying a first water supply to the drum, draining the first water supply from the tub, and supplying a second water supply to the drum.

Washing machine appliances and methods of using detected motion to limit bearing forces

A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket rotatably mounted within a wash tub and supported by a front bearing and a rear bearing. A method of operating the washing machine appliance includes rotating the wash basket within the wash tub at a basket speed and obtaining first and second displacement amplitudes of the wash tub. Bearing forces at the front and rear bearings are obtained based on the basket speed and the displacement amplitudes. The determined bearing force at the front bearing is compared to a front limit. The determined bearing force at the rear bearing is compared to a rear limit. If the determined bearing force value at either of the front bearing or the rear bearing is greater than or equal to the respective limit, an operating parameter of the washing machine appliance is adjusted to limit bearing forces resulting from out-of-balance loads.

The lifter includes a lifter frame installed on the inner circumferential surface of the drum and a frame cover coupled to the lifter frame. The lifter frame includes a frame base coupled to the inner circumferential surface, a frame upper plate having a first water flow through-hole, and a frame sidewall that connects the frame upper plate to the frame base and that defines a second water flow through-hole. The frame cover includes a cover upper plate having a water flow discharge hole configured to discharge, into the drum, washing water having passed through at least one of the first water flow through-hole or the second water flow through-hole, and a cover sidewall that extends from the cover upper plate to the frame base.

ROTATABLE DRUM LAUNDRY MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A method for redistributing a laundry load in a drum of a washing machine in order to reduce the unbalance generated to the nonuniform distribution of said laundry load in said drum. The method comprises: generating a sinusoidal motor speed profile (RS(t)), controlling the electric motor based on the sinusoidal motor speed profile (RS(t)), estimating unbalance value indicative of the unbalance of load in the laundry drum, estimating an inertia value indicative of the inertia of the load in the laundry drum, varying the amplitude of the sinusoidal speed profile (RS(t)) based on estimated unbalance value and inertia value, and controlling said electric motor based on modified sinusoidal motor speed profile.

WASHING MACHINE

A washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub, a drum, a drawer disposed within the cabinet to hold detergent, a drawer housing configured to insert into and withdraw from the cabinet, a water supply guide flow channel for supplying water passed through the drawer into the tub, a top cover housing covering an open top of the cabinet and defining a receiving space above the cabinet, a detergent mixer disposed in the receiving space, and a discharge guiding mechanism. The detergent mixer includes additive cartridges that accommodate liquid additives, additive pumps corresponding to the additive cartridges, and a flow channel box including pump intake paths that guide the additives from the additive cartridges to the additive pumps and pump discharge paths that guide the additives discharged from the additive pumps. The discharge guiding mechanism guides the additives discharged from the pump discharge paths to the water supply guide flow channel.

Drum washing machine

A drum washing machine comprises a machine body, a door body, an inner drum and a water feeding device. The inner drum is rotatably arranged in the machine body, and holds water in a washing. A front part of the inner drum is provided with an input port for taking and putting clothes. The door body is mounted at a front part of the machine body corresponding to the input port of the inner drum for opening or closing the input port. An end with the input port of the inner drum is hermetically connected with the door body in a relatively rotating manner. The water feeding device includes a first water feeding pipe connected with an external water source, a water collection sump corresponding to the first water feeding pipe arranged on the door body, and a second water feeding pipe arranged in the door body.

WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

Disclosed is a control method for a washing machine having three or more lifters inside a drum. The control method includes: positioning the lifters on an outer side of a first area including a drum lower portion, and positioning laundry on the first area; performing a first rotation step to rotate the drum in a first direction so that one of the lifters is positioned on the first area and the laundry is positioned on the lifter positioned on the first area; and performing a second rotation step to rotate the drum in a second direction opposite to the first direction, so that the lifters are positioned on the outer side of the first area and the laundry is positioned on the first area, wherein the first rotation step and the second rotation step are performed alternately and repeatedly.

Washing machine

An inner drum of a washing machine has a plurality of hollow lifting ribs arranged on the side wall of the drum that communicate with the interior of the drum. At least one drainage port communicating with the hollow portions of the lifting ribs is formed in the side wall of the drum. A sealing valve is located inside each lifting rib at each drainage port. During high-speed rotation of the drum, valve bodies of the sealing valves move along a radial center direction of the drum under a centrifugal force, to open the drainage ports. Through this arrangement, discharging water flow in the drum to the outside from the hidden drainage ports is achieved. Meanwhile, centrifugal force during the high-speed rotation of the drum is used to control valve cores of the sealing valves such that the drainage ports are automatically opened for drainage from the drum.

The present invention relates to a laundry treating apparatus. The laundry treating apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a control unit which controls the tub to rotate at a first speed in a case of a blanket dehydration mode, to rotate at a second speed lower than the first speed so that the plurality of balls are dispersed when amount of eccentricity in the first speed rotation is equal to or greater than a first reference value, and to rotate at a third speed higher than the first speed when the amount of eccentricity in the first speed rotation is less than the first reference value. Accordingly, in a blanket dehydration mode, it is possible to stably perform dehydration by preventing the plurality of balls from operating unbalanced.
