Method for Controlling the Intake of Washing Liquid in a Laundry Washing Machine, and Laundry Washing Machine Actuating that Method
A method for managing the load of washing liquid in a laundry washing machine (100) is provided. The laundry washing machine has a washing tub (110), in which washing liquid may be loaded, and a rotatable drum (115), rotatably accommodated in the washing tub (110), for containing the laundry to be washed. The method includes performing a sequence of partial loads of washing liquid into the washing tub (110). Each partial load provides for loading a corresponding liquid amount in the washing tub (110). For at least one of the partial loads in the sequence, the method provides for loading into the washing tub (110) a predetermined amount of washing liquid which depends on at least one indicative parameter related to one or more of the previous partial loads in the sequence.
WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROLLING METHOD FOR THE SAME
A washing machine capable of determining an accurate state of a water supplier during a water supply course includes a tub; a drum rotationally arranged in the tub; a driving motor configured to rotate the drum; a water supplier configured to supply water into the tub; a water level sensor configured to measure a water level in the tub; and a controller configured to control the driving motor to perform a first weight detection course before water supply is started, and control the driving motor to perform a second weight detection course based on the water level in the tub being less than a preset water level when a predetermined time has elapsed after the water supply into the tub is started.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A laundry treating apparatus includes a tub, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub, a rotator that is rotatably disposed on a bottom surface of the drum and includes a pillar extending inside the drum and a plurality of blades spaced apart from each other along a circumferential direction of the pillar and inclined with respect to a longitudinal direction of the pillar, a motor for driving the drum and the rotator, and a controller that controls operation of the motor. A method for controlling the apparatus includes sensing an amount of clothes in the drum, sensing a washing load of the clothes including a moisture content from water supplied into the tub, and sensing a cloth material of the clothes. When the washing load corresponds to a normal washing load in the first cloth material sensing operation, a first washing process is performed according to the washing load.
Method of determining volume of water to add to first and second washing compartments of a washing machine as a function of determined moment of inertia
A washing machine includes a first washing compartment to hold a first set of articles to be washed and a second washing compartment to holds a second set of articles to be washed, the second washing compartment having an inserted position and a removed position. A liquid flow valve is configured to connect to an external liquid source to selectively control flow of liquid from the external liquid source and into one or more of the first washing compartment and the second washing compartment. An electric motor is configured to rotate the first washing compartment, and the second washing compartment, when the second washing compartment is in the inserted position. A controller, in communication with the electric motor, determines a mass of the second set of articles and then determines, as a function of the determined mass, a volume of water to be added to the second washing compartment.
Method for Operating a Laundry Washing Machine and Laundry Washing Machine
A method for operating a laundry washing machine (100; 300) having a controllable dosing device (120; 191) suitable to supply water from an external water supply line (E) into a container (110; 172) and a metering device (125; 192) arranged between the external water supply line (E) and the container (110; 172) for determining the amount of water flowing through the dosing device (120; 191). The method measures the surplus water flowing through the dosing device (120; 191) after deactivation of the latter in a first water conveying step for conveying a first amount of water from the external water supply line (E) into the container (110; 172) and controls the supply of water in a further water conveying step taking in account the surplus water previously measured.
Washing machine and method for controlling same
A control unit comprises a calculation unit, a determination unit, and a motor rotation control unit. The calculation unit calculates the rate of change in water level, which indicates the amount of change in water level per a predetermined period of time, on the basis of the result of sensing by a water level sensor in connection with a water supply stroke. The determination unit determines whether laundry having a waterproof property is contained in a drum or not on the basis of the rate of change in water level during the water supply stroke calculated by the calculation unit. When it is determined that laundry having a waterproof property is contained in the drum, the motor rotation control unit controls the operation of a driving motor such that the drum is rotated at a predetermined number of rotations or less during the dewatering stroke.
Washing machines
The present invention relates to a washing machine (7) and pump (8) for a washing machine (7). The pump is driven by a brushless DC motor (38). The pump can be controlled to improve the operation of the washing machine. In one aspect the invention comprises a washing machine (7) with a variable speed pump (8) for pumping out wastewater, a controller (50) for controlling the speed of the pump and a sensor (10) for determining the flow-rate of water being pumped from the washing machine, wherein the controller (50) controls the speed of the pump to maintain the flow-rate at a desirable level.
Drum type washing machine and operating method of the same
A washing machine for washing laundry may include a drum type washing machine having a tub, a drum, a water pressure and/or level sensor, an air flow path, a bubble detecting sensor, and a controller. The bubble detecting sensor may be along the air flow path of the tub in order to detect whether bubbles, suds or foam are generated within the tub and/or whether the bubbles, suds or foam exceed an acceptable amount. When the bubbles within the tub are detected and/or exceed the acceptable amount, the washing machine (e.g., the controller) may perform a preset or predetermined bubble removing course or procedure to remove or reduce the bubbles.
Water level detection system for a washing machine appliance and methods for operating the same
A washing machine appliance includes a sump for collecting wash fluid and a water supply valve for supplying the wash fluid during a fill cycle. A controller is configured for detecting when a pressure sensor of a water level detection system is partially blocked and implementing an incremental fill process. Specifically, the controller is configured for determining a remaining fill volume for the wash fluid to reach the target fill volume, opening the supply valve to provide a fraction of the remaining fill volume into the sump and then closing the supply valve, determining that a sump pressure measured by the water level detection system has stabilized, and repeating these steps until a stopping criterion occurs, such as when a fill cycle limit or a target volume is achieved.
WASHING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A washing machine may include a drum rotationally arranged for containing laundry, a motion detector configured to detect a motion of the laundry, and a controller configured to control rotation speed of the drum based on the detected motion such that the laundry shows a predetermined motion.
