Safety control for mobility device
A mobility device configurable in a first walk configuration and a second stair-climb configuration, including a frame with movable front leg portions, a leg-actuation system connected to the front leg portions and a safety-control device mounted to the frame. The safety-control device includes a configuration selector, and a lever connected to the leg-actuation system and configured to actuate the cable actuation system so as to cause the first and second movable leg portions to move from a first position to a second position. The lever remains locked in a first lever position such that the lever cannot be moved unless the configuration selector is in a depressed position, thereby preventing inadvertent movement of the leg portion.
HEALTH-CARE DEVICE
A health-care device includes a work piece having an operating end and a opposite working end to perform a health-care work on a specific part or an acupoint of a body part of a user; a work body at its lower part the operating end is mounted so that a specific working relationship between the working end and the specific part or the acupoint is maintained; and a device positioning piece connected to the work body for maintaining a specific positional relationship between the working end and the specific part or the acupoint.
Electrostatic brake-based haptic device
The present disclosure relates to a device including electrostatic brakes providing haptic kinaesthetic feedback to a user in e.g. assistive, rehabilitation or virtual reality scenarios, as well as tele-manipulation.
TREATMENT TABLE
A treatment table (1) includes a chest support part (3) and a leg support part (4) that respectively support a chest and legs of a patient while the patient lies on the treatment table, and a lower-back support part (20) that support a lower-back of the patient, and is located between the chest support part and the leg support part, wherein the lower back support part is provided with multiple divided members (21) that are divided in patient's body-axis and body-width directions, and supporting bodies that support the divided members (21) movably in an up-down direction. The treatment table offers to perform an effective lower-back treatment with an inexpensive configuration.
PROSTATE MASSAGE APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to a prostate massage apparatus including a cushion part on which a user is able to sit, a reciprocating horizontal movement part installed to be horizontally movable along both sides inside the cushion part, an acupressure part installed to be movable upward and downward at an upper end of the reciprocating horizontal movement part and configured to move upward to a pressing position due to an elastic force of an elastic member, and a driving part mechanically connected to the reciprocating horizontal movement part by a power transmission member inside the cushion part and configured to, when driven to rotate, allow the reciprocating horizontal movement part to move back and forth along both sides.
Hand and Forearm Therapeutic Massage System
A hand and forearm therapeutic massage system consisting of a frame that supports easily exchangeable lower fixed roller and an upper vertically movable roller. When a person inserts his or her hand and forearm between the two rollers, the upper roller provides precisely adjustable downward force thus providing a massaging action on the user's hand or forearm. A removable side panel provides easy and quick access for removal and insertion of rollers for a specific diagnosis. A cam mechanism and attached knob located in the upper portion of the frame can adjust the spring pressure exerted on the upper roller. The cam adjustment knob protrudes beyond the side wall of the hollow frame and includes an indicating arrow that points to indices affixed to the side of the hollow frame to allow a person to accurately know the pressure setting he or she is on.
WEARABLE DEVICE TO COUNTERACT TREMOR
Devices, systems, and methods are provided to treat tremor in a subject. Devices, systems and method may comprise a wearable based configured to be worn over at least a part of a joint of the subject; at least one flywheel-spring-damper system (FSD) comprising at least one housing configured to be coupled to the wearable base; and at least one flywheel configured to counteract tremor movements in the subject, wherein the flywheel-spring damper system is configured to be coupled to the wearable base. The tremor may be a tremor in an outer extremity, typically a hand, of a subject.
Steam physiotherapeutic device
A steam physiotherapeutic device comprises a water tank, a boiler with a steam outlet, a liquid inlet channel for communicating the water tank with the boiler, a water valve mechanism for controlling the liquid inlet channel to open or close, and a heating mechanism configured in the boiler, wherein the heating mechanism is used for heating water flowing into the boiler to generate steam; the liquid inlet channel comprises a first passage with a water inlet section communicated with the water tank, a second passage with a water outlet section communicated with the boiler, and a third passage communicated with a water outlet section of the first passage and a water inlet section of the second passage; the first passage extends in the horizontal direction, and the second passage also extends in the horizontal direction; and the height of the second passage in the steam physiotherapeutic device is greater than that of the first passage in the steam physiotherapeutic device, and the third passage is communicated with the first passage and the second passage. The steam physiotherapeutic device prevents the drawback of water backflow.
DECOMPRESSION DEVICE AND METHOD
A decompression device and a method using the decompression device are provided. The device includes a support structure having a longitudinal brace, and a cross brace that may be coupled to or part of the longitudinal brace. A harness may be coupled to the cross brace, and the harness may have a traction surface. An adjustable fastener may control the harness length therein controlling the distance between the traction surface and the first cross brace. The base positioned on a surface or structure, and portions of the harness positioned around the body of a user, such as under the arms and around the back. The user may manipulate the adjustable fastener to position portions of the harness a desired distance from the cross brace. The user may then leans forwards tilting the decompression device and the harness will provide lift, and therefore decompression, to the back of the body of a user.
