DUST REPELLENT SILICA AND TITANIA COATINGS
Novel coatings disclosed herein can be used to mitigate dust adhesion. In one embodiment, a method of making a dust repellant coating includes combining a titanium dioxide sol with colloidal silica to form a mixture. The method also includes adding solvent to the mixture, stirring the mixture for about an hour, and filtering the mixture into a solution of titanium dioxide and silica dioxide.
Core-shell nozzle for three-dimensional printing and method of use
In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a nozzle for 3-D printing. The nozzle may include a first nozzle tip defining a first outlet, where the first nozzle tip includes a first channel extending therethrough. The nozzle may further include a second nozzle tip defining a second outlet, where the second nozzle tip includes a second channel extending therethrough, and where the first channel surrounds the second outlet. The second nozzle tip may be retracted longitudinally with respect to the first nozzle tip such that the second outlet of the second nozzle tip is located in the first channel.
Soil-resistant fiber fabric and method for producing same
A soil-resistant fiber fabric having excellent water/oil repellency and excellent soil dirt resistance is obtained by fixing colloidal silica to a fiber fabric, and by subsequently treating the fiber fabric with a water/oil repellent fluorine compound, thereby having the water/oil repellent fluorine compound adhere to a surface of the fiber fabric.

Method for manufacturing high tenacity fiber and high tenacity fiber manufactured thereby
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a high tenacity yarn and a high tenacity yarn manufactured thereby. More particularly, the present invention relates to: a method of manufacturing a high tenacity yarn, the method including coating a yarn made of at least one of nylon and polyester to obtain a coated yarn, wherein the coating material contains 3 to 35 parts by weight of a reinforcing agent composed of a mineral material per 100 parts by weight of a coating liquid containing polyurethane; and a high tenacity yarn manufactured thereby. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture a yarn having high tenacity and improved processability by processing a nylon or polyester yarn having a relatively low tenacity as compared with a high modulus polyethylene (HMPE) yarn by use of a yarn coating technique, and further to reduce production cost.
Hydrophobic nano-silica mixed thermoplastic polyurethane coated yarn
A thermoplastic polyurethane coated yarn having excellent adhesive strength in which hydrophobic nano-silica is mixed. The nano-silica is contained in the range of 0.2-5 parts per hundred resin (phr) and the nano-silica having a primary particle size of in a range of 1-100 nm. The thermoplastic polyurethane coating yarn mixed with the hydrophobic nano-silica of the present invention is uniformly coated with a thermoplastic polyurethane resin containing nano-silica containing a hydrophobic functional group on the surface of the core yarn, whereby the core yarn is biased to one side. Since no coating or uncoating occurs, the product quality and productivity are excellent, in addition to excellent durability and wear resistance of the thermoplastic polyurethane, mechanical strength and chemical resistance are improved.

FABRIC COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING ATTACHED ASCORBIC ACID
The invention relates to antimicrobial and/or antiviral fabric compositions comprising ascorbic acid, citric acid, sodium hypophosphite, or a mixture thereof. The ascorbic acid may be covalently attached to at least one cellulosic portion of the fabric composition. The invention also relates to methods for preparing such fabric compositions.
Protective technology with reactive solid sorbent for oxidative decontamination of toxic materials
A solid particulate reactive sorbent for decontaminating toxic chemical and biological agents and its method of making. The reactive sorbent comprising a plurality of aggregates formed from linked hydrophilic nanoparticles and individual nanoparticles that bind at least one detoxifier, such that the sorbent absorbs the agents, allowing the detoxifier to oxidize and decontaminate the agents for removal. More preferably, the hydrophilic nanoparticles comprise fumed silica and the detoxifier comprises hydrogen peroxide.
INKJET INK FOR TEXTILE PRINTING
An inkjet ink composition for textile printing comprising a white pigment, a pigment dispersant, a polyurethane-based binder, a nano-sized layered silicate and an aqueous liquid vehicle. Also described herein is a fluid set comprising said ink and a fixer composition including a cationic polymer and a fixer vehicle; as well as the textile printing method using it.
