ELECTROSPUN CONDUCTIVE CARBON FIBERS
A conductive carbonaceous fiber is provided, comprising a carbonaceous material obtained from carbonizing an electrospun fiber wherein said fiber comprises at least one conductive metal precursor. The electrospun fibers can be formed into fibrous mats during spinning, stabilization and carbonization that are conductive materials which can be used to make stretchable conductors for flexible electronic devices. The invention relates also to the process for making the fibers, corresponding elastomeric fibrous mesh/polymer composites as well as use of these composites for making stretchable electrical conductors. The obtainable elastomeric composite films (with a thickness in the range of 0.8 to 1.5 mm) exhibit good electrical conductivity and excellent electromechanical stability under mechanical deformations (e.g. elongating, twisting and bending). The scalable fabrication process and low-cost precursors make the elastic electrospun carbon fibers/polymer composite conductors promising materials for applications in flexible electronic devices, displays, sensors, wearable conducting clothes, implantable medical devices, etc.
STAIN-RESISTANT SYNTHETIC LEATHER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided a stain-resistant synthetic leather, including: (a) a polyurethane synthetic leather; (b) a silane-based coating layer formed on the polyurethane synthetic leather; and (c) a silicone coating layer formed on the silane-based coating layer, wherein the silane-based layer strengthens the binding between the polyurethane synthetic leather and the silicone coating layer, so that the stain-resistant synthetic leather can exhibit texture and flexibility of natural leather per se, and can exhibit excellent water resistance, stain resistance, weather resistance, and wear resistance through the silane-based coating layer and silicone coating layer formed on the polyurethane synthetic leather.
TEXTILE HEAT-, FIRE- AND/OR SMOKE-PROOF MATERIAL
A textile heat-, fire- and/or smoke-proof material, comprising a flat, textile substrate which is coated with a polymer composition. The polymer composition containing a cross-linked silicone resin and metal pigments. The invention also relates to a method for producing a textile heat-, fire- and/or smoke-proof material, and to the use of a textile structure as a heat protector in a vehicle(s) and as fire and heat protection in a building(s).
AQUEOUS COATING-FILM-FORMING COMPOSITION FOR FORMING LUBRICATING COATING FILM, AND AIR BAG USING SAID COMPOSITION
An aqueous coating film-forming composition is provided that can be coated uniformly on a silicone rubber surface without causing repelling or coating failure even when applied to the silicone rubber surface at a film thickness of 30 μm or less, and forms an antifriction dry coating film that reduces friction and/or blocking of the substrate surface on the surface. The composition comprises (A) a solid lubricant, (B) a thickener, and (C) a silicone binder in the form of an oil-in-water silicone emulsion comprising (c1) an ionic emulsifier and (c2) a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene copolymerized nonionic emulsifier. Water content is removed from the composition to form an antifriction dry coating film comprising 40 to 80 mass % of component (A), 0.50 to 10 mass % of component (B), 0.60 to 5 mass % of component (c2), and 5 to 49.5 mass % of component (C) (solid fraction). Applications thereof are also provided, e.g. airbag coatings.
SILICONE DIPPED GLOVE AND DIPPING PROCESS THEREOF
Disclosed is a silicone dipped glove, comprising a glove core and a dipping layer. The dipping layer is a silicone mixed compound layer, and the silicone mixed compound layer is composed of the following components at the following proportions by weight: 70-90% of silicone, 5-20% of a curing agent, 5-20% of a diluent, and 0-10% of a color paste. The silicone mixed compound layer of the present invention is composed of silicone, a curing agent and a diluent.
ARC FLASH PROTECTIVE MATERIALS
Relatively lightweight laminate structures having an outer textile layer, a heat reactive material, a middle layer, a flame retardant adhesive material and an inner layer, wherein the flame retardant adhesive material is positioned in a pattern so as to form a plurality of pockets, each of the pockets defined by (a) the middle layer, (b) the inner layer, and (c) a portion of the flame retardant adhesive material. The laminate structures can provide protection from an exposure to an electrical arc.
COATED BARRIER FABRIC FOR A REUSABLE MEDICAL PRODUCT
A coated barrier fabric for use in a reusable medical product (e.g., surgical gown, surgical drape, etc.) is provided and has two woven or knitted plies. Each of the two plies are coated on one side with a non-fluorine containing polymer and retain similar comfort and feel of uncoated woven or knitted fabrics. The coated sides of the plies face each other (i.e., inwardly) in the interior of the barrier fabric. Because of the orientation of the plies, the coated sides of the plies can come into direct contact with and move freely against each other within the interior of the barrier fabric. The coating on each of the plies is protected from exterior and environmental factors, including repeated institutional laundering/autoclave cycles, that could abrade and degrade the coating. Thus, the useful life of the reusable medical product including the barrier fabric is extended.
Method of preparing water-based surface treatment agent and water-based surface treatment agent prepared using the same
The present invention relates to a method of preparing a water-based surface treatment agent and a water-based surface treatment agent prepared using the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a water-based surface treatment agent used to form a surface treatment layer included in artificial leather for automobile seat covers and a method of preparing the water-based surface treatment agent. According to the present invention, when the water-based surface treatment agent is used to manufacture artificial leather, occurrence of whitening of the surface of the artificial leather may be prevented.
