FLAT TEXTILE STRUCTURE WITH COATING
A textile fabric with a woven support layer including at least polyethylene and/or polyester fibres. A surface coating is applied onto at least one surface of the support layer, and the surface coating includes at least one polymer blend. The polymer blend has at least one mixture of polyethylene and polyethylene-vinyl acetate, and the polymer blend has more than 40 wt. % of polyethylene-vinyl acetate, based on the total weight of the polymer blend.
CARPET COMPOSITIONS HAVING LAMINATED FILM BACKINGS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
A carpet composition comprising a tufted yarn locked in place by a laminated film and methods of making same are disclosed.
Carpet coating compositions
The invention relates to the use of mixtures that contain an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate polymer and an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer for carpet coating compositions, and corresponding carpet coating compositions, as well as carpets which are coated with such carpet coating compositions.
Binder-consolidated textile fabrics and methods of their manufacture and use
Textile fabrics consolidated with a binder that is made from a binder system are described. The binder system may include: a) 30% or less by dry weight of at least one polymer based on polyvinyl alcohol; b) 70% or more by dry weight of at least one starch, wherein the at least one starch comprises 50% by weight or more of one or more natural starches based on the total weight of the at least one starch; c) 0 to 10% by dry weight of at least one crosslinker; d) 0 to 10% by dry weight of at least one filler; and e) 0 to 10% by dry weight of at least one additive, wherein a sum of components a) through e) is 100% by dry weight of the binder system. Method of making the textile fabrics consolidated with binders made from the binder systems are also described.
POLYPROPYLENE FABRIC AND FABRIC TREATING METHOD
A polypropylene fabric woven from a plurality of polypropylene fibers comprises a first surface and a second surface, at least one of the first surface and the second surface is treated with electro-optical treatment.
Method for manufacturing a multilayer PVC semifinished product and a corresponding apparatus
A method for manufacturing of a multilayer PVC semi-finished product, in particular a multilayer PVC synthetic leather or a multilayer PVC foam sheet, the method comprising the steps of: a. Coating a coated or uncoated carrier web with a PVC plastisol, whereby a carrier web coated with an ungelled plastisol layer is obtained; thereafter b. Gelling the ungelled plastisol layer, whereby a carrier web coated with a gelled plastisol layer is obtained; and thereafter c. Cooling the carrier web coated with the gelled plastisol layer; characterized in that the coating comprises coating the carrier web with at least two PVC plastisols one above the other, simultaneously or in immediate succession. A corresponding apparatus is further described.
Aqueous, polyvinyl alcohol stabilized vinyl acetate-ethylene-copolymer dispersion having high filler compatibility for carpet coating compositions
The invention relates to an aqueous vinyl acetate-ethylene-copolymer dispersion for carpet coating compositions, which is obtained by means of radical-initiated emulsion polymerization, in an aqueous medium, of vinyl acetate and ethylene and optionally additional ethylenically unsaturated comonomers, characterized in that, for stabilization of the dispersion, 5 to 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the comonomers, of one or a plurality of partially saponified and low-molecular polyvinyl alcohols having a hydrolysis degree of 80 to 95 mol % and a Hppler viscosity, in 4% aqueous solution, of 1 to 5 mPas (method according to Hppler at 20 C., DIN 53015) are contained.
DURABLE NATURAL FABRIC PRODUCTS
A natural fabric or textile product is coated and protected with a waterproofing composition comprising a crosslinking polyvinyl acetate (XPVAc or x-PVAc) emulsion polymer or adhesive applied and cured as a first coating layer or a primer and a coating layer of acrylic, alkyd, asphalt, emulsion polymer isocyanate, epoxy, lacquer, latex, polyurethane, urethane, or vinyl ester coated over the cured crosslinking polyvinyl acetate as a second coating layer or a topcoat. The natural fabric product is fabricated by weaving, knitting or felting the fibers, yarns or threads of vegetable or plant fibers from cotton, sisal, kenaf, hemp, jute, flax, reed, sugarcane, ramie, henequen, raffia, nettle, milkweeds, palm, coir, grass, Spanish moss, New Zealand flax, kapok, sugarcane, bamboo, or wood, or those of the protein fibers from wool, silk, spider threads, sea silk, or the combination thereof.
STABILIZATION OF FABRIC SURFACES
A textile fabric having improved properties, variously including surface stability, abrasion resistance, resistance to edge fraying, moisture control, and resistance to fluid penetration is created by introducing a polymeric solution or a plurality of low-melting particles suspended in a liquid into the textile fabric while leaving a plurality of surface fibers exposed and maintaining a textile feel on the surface.
Fabric Substrate and Manufacturing Method Thereof
According to the present invention, there is provided a fabric substrate for mounting a light emitting element. The fabric substrate comprises a fabric layer including at least one fabric, a stress buffer layer that is disposed on the fabric layer and minimizes an occurrence of physical strain and stress caused by bending the fabric layer, and a flattening layer that is disposed on the stress buffer layer and provides a flat surface to allow a light emitting element to operate.
