Washable Multi-Component Magnetic Floor Mat
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
Method to manufacture a textile product, a use thereof and a device for applying the method
The invention pertains to a method to manufacture a textile product comprising a first sheet having polymer yarns fastened to this sheet to form a pile thereon, the method comprising providing the sheet, stitching the polymer yarns through the sheet to form the pile on a first surface of the sheet and loops of the yarns at a second surface of the sheet, heating the second surface of the sheet to at least partly melt the loops of the yarns to fasten the yarns to the sheet, wherein the method comprises measuring a roughness of the second surface with the at least partly molten loops of the yarns thereon, after the at least partly molten loops have solidified and, if the roughness differs from a predetermined surface roughness, adapting the method to manufacture the textile product, in order to obtain a second surface roughness that differs from the measured surface roughness. The invention also pertains to a device for applying this method.
Carpet Compositions Having Laminated Film Backings and Methods for Making Same
This disclosure relates to a carpet having fluid barrier properties. The disclosed carpet comprises: (a) a greige good comprising: i) a primary backing material having a face surface and a back surface; ii) a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing material, wherein a portion of the plurality of fibers extends from the face surface of the primary backing and wherein a second portion of the plurality of fibers are exposed on the back surface of the primary backing in a form of back stitches; b) an adhesive layer comprising a hot melt adhesive composition applied to the back surface of the primary backing material, wherein the adhesive composition is configured to substantially encapsulate at least a portion of the back stitches; and c) a laminated film having fluid barrier properties. Also disclosed are methods for making the carpet described herein.

Provided is a composite thermal insulation sheet including an aerogel and a method for manufacturing method the same. The methods yield an ultra-thin aerogel composite sheet having characteristics of low dust, high strength and high thermal insulation, thereby having an increased applicability thereof to an electronic device.
Light-blocking high opacity articles
A foamed, opacifying element has a porous substrate composed of woven yarn strands composed of a thermoplastic polymer-coated multifilament core. It has a dry foamed composition on an opposing surface of the substrate, which includes: (a) 0.1-40 weight % of porous particles; (b) 10-80 weight %; (c) 0.2-50 weight % of one or more additives selected from the group consisting of dispersants, plasticizers, flame retardants, optical brighteners, thickeners, biocides, fungicides, tinting colorants, metal flakes, and inert inorganic or organic fillers; (d) less than 5 weight % of water; and (e) at least 0.002 weight % of an opacifying colorant different from all of the one or more additives of (c), which opacifying colorant absorbs electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of 380-800 nm. The elements have a light-blocking value (LBV) of at least 4 and can have a bending stiffness that is greater than 0.15 milliNewtons-meter.

A woven fabric comprises a plurality of first fibers extending along a first direction, the first fibers having a first modulus of elasticity; a plurality of second fibers extending along a second direction and being woven with the plurality of first fibers, the second fibers having a second modulus of elasticity that is lower than the first modulus of elasticity; and a coating disposed over the plurality of first fibers and the plurality of second fibers. In some embodiments, the coating is a synthetic leather.

According to the present invention, there is provided a fabric substrate for mounting a light emitting element. The fabric substrate includes a fabric layer including at least one fabric, a stress buffer layer that is disposed on the fabric layer and minimizes an occurrence of physical strain and stress caused by bending the fabric layer, and a flattening layer that is disposed on the stress buffer layer and provides a flat surface to allow a light emitting element to operate.

The present invention relates polyester tufted carpet where the tufts are engaged with a primary polyester backing and where a polyester roll coating is applied to the backside of the primary backing to lock the tufts which therefore avoids the use of a latex adhesive. The present invention also relates to the use of a polyester roll coating applied to the backside of a nonwoven polyester carpet.
Recyclable single polymer floorcovering article
This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles, including carpet tiles and broadloom carpet. In particular, this invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles made from the family of polymers known as polyester. Specifically, this invention relates to tufted carpet tile products made from polyester. The polyester carpet tiles meet commercial performance specifications and are fully end-of-life recyclable.
