The two cell container device includes a second housing, the second housing secured within the through-hole, the second housing configured to house at least a pill, wherein the second housing includes a first side including at least a pill receptacle having an opening and a second side adhered to the first side, wherein the second side covers the opening.

STABLE PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR MOISTURE AND OXYGEN SENSITIVE PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORMS
20170304150 · 2017-10-26 ·

The invention describes a blister packaging system, and method of making the system, capable of establishing and maintaining arid and anaerobic conditions for packaging pharmaceutical products that are sensitive to oxygen and/or moisture. The blister packaging system encompasses, for example, a scaffold of several interconnected cavities intended for product and one or more reservoirs comprising an oxygen scavenger and/or a desiccant. Furthermore, the concentration of the components is maintained at a level that prevents establishment of equilibrium conditions.

PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING COMPOSITE FILM
20220054356 · 2022-02-24 ·

A pharmaceutical packaging composite film includes a heat sealing layer, an aluminum foil layer, and an impact resistant layer. The heat sealing layer contains residues derived from at least one of 1,4-butanediol, isophthalic acid, isoprene glycol, and isopropanol, and thus has a melting point between 130° C. and 180° C. The aluminum foil layer is disposed on the heat sealing layer. The impact resistant layer is disposed on the aluminum foil layer.

METHODS AND KITS FOR RAPID SCREENING FOR HYPOSMIA AND ANOSMIA

The invention provides methods and kits for rapid and inexpensive detection of hyposmia or anosmia, diminishment or loss of the sense of smell. Sudden onset of diminishment or loss of the sense of smell is an early sign of infection with SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19; detecting the sudden onset of diminishment or loss of the sense of smell can therefore be used to rapidly screen a population for persons who should undergo diagnostic testing for a SARS-CoV-2 infection, and more generally to screen persons for olfactory disorders.

Combination of umeclidinium, fluticasone propionate and salmeterol xinafoate for use in the treatment of inflammatory or respiratory tract diseases
09795561 · 2017-10-24 · ·

The present invention is directed to pharmaceutical combination products comprising a muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist, fluticasone propionate and salmeterol xinafoate, and to their use in the treatment of inflammatory or respiratory tract diseases.

Opioid taper regimen
11253512 · 2022-02-22 ·

A opioid taper regimen, and its method of manufacture, for use in a method of opioid reduction leading to abstinence. Said regimen is administered within the range of 2 to 4 years, or more. The regimen comprises novel approaches to common problems encountered during tapers of low dose opioid addiction. The reduction regimen is generally linear; reduces the dosage level once per week; doses every six hours; reduces doses by steps in the range of about 0.001 to 0.0500 mg; has, near the end, ten weeks of doses of about 0.0025 mg buprenorphine q.i.d.; followed by four or more weeks of placebos. Instructions for manufacture of doses that differ by 0.0025 mg and 0.0050 mg buprenorphine are specified.

Apparatus and Method for Improved Drug Regimen Compliance
20170294105 · 2017-10-12 ·

A method and apparatus for monitoring drug-regimen compliance is disclosed. Systems in accordance with the present invention enable automatic monitoring of the state of medicine content of a blister card. Each tablet location on the blister card is operatively coupled with a different sensor that detects whether the tablet location is occupied and/or a dispensing event at a tablet location. In some embodiments, capacitive sensing is employed, where the capacitance of each sensor is based on the physical state of a dispensing region of the lidding film of the blister pack, which is located at the tablet location being monitored. Alternative sensing approaches are based on optical, acoustic, and tactile sensors that interrogate either the dispensing region at each tablet location or the tablets themselves to determine whether tablets have been dispensed. The sensors interface with a mobile app that provides the user instructions to help improve drug-regimen compliance.

MEDICATION SYSTEM

A medication system includes a blister pack. The blister pack includes a sheet containing a plurality of blisters each respectively containing at least one medication. The blister pack further includes a backing positioned on the sheet and a substrate layer having electronic circuitry thereon, the circuitry including traces terminating at one end at positions corresponding to each of the blisters. The blister pack is connected to an edge connector disposed adjacent to an edge of the sheet, the traces terminating at an other end to the edge connector. The medication system also includes a hub in electronic communication with the blister pack. The traces positioned such that each time a blister is punctured, the breakage event is communicated to the hub and recorded.

Systems and methods for storing and dispensing medication

A medication storage/dispenser unit comprises a processor connected to medication package storage compartments. The storage compartments comprise a medication package, and preferably may also include a content reader, a medication information reader, and a medication package indicator. The processor receives a medication request from the medical information system, receives content and other medication from the storage compartments, processes the information and automatically opens the appropriate compartment with the correct medication.

INSPECTION DEVICE, PACKAGING MACHINE, AND PACKAGE INSPECTION METHOD

An inspection device includes: an electromagnetic wave irradiator that irradiates, with a predetermined electromagnetic wave from a first film side, the package that is conveyed along a predetermined direction and that has the spaces at a plurality of positions in a width direction; an imaging device that is disposed opposed to the electromagnetic wave irradiator across the package, includes an electromagnetic wave detector including a plurality of detection elements that is arrayed along the width direction and that detects the electromagnetic wave radiated from the electromagnetic wave irradiator and transmitted through the package, and sequentially outputs an obtained electromagnetic wave transmission image every time the package is conveyed by a predetermined amount; and an image processing device that processes an image signal output from the imaging device.
