LOCKING MEDICATION CONTAINERS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present discloser provides methods and systems related to a medication container that may be locked using a locking mechanism. In one exemplary method, a request from a user may be received by a medication provider for a medication. The medication may be placed in a medication container with a locking mechanism that is operable to lock and unlock the medication container. The medication container may be locked using the locking mechanism. The locked medication container with the medication within may be provided to the user. Subsequent to providing the locked medication container to the user, a request may be received from the user to access the medication in the medication container. A credential may be sent to the user that is usable, via the locking mechanism, to unlock the medication container. The user may then input the credential into the locking mechanism to unlock the medication container and access the medication therein.
Lockable container
A lockable container for securing items or objects, the container including a first element, which may include a cylindrical member and a retainer for capturing two or more rotatable rings on the cylindrical member, and a second element, which is mateable with the first element, cooperating with the rings to close an open end of the cylindrical member of the first element.
CONTAINER APPARATUS, METHODS FOR OPENING CONTAINERS AND ZIPPER MEMBER FOR A CONTAINER APPARATUS
Container apparatus embodiments for providing preferably child resistant and senior friendly closures are provided. Generally, the embodiments include containers, each having an internal product space configured for housing at least one product. Generally, the container apparatus embodiments are each configured to move between a CLOSED position and an OPENED position. Various mechanisms according to the disclosed concepts are described to help prevent a person who should not be accessing contents of the container apparatus from doing so.
Device for Deterring Abuse of Drugs
The present disclosure relates to devices for deterring drug abuse and methods thereof. More particularly, the disclosure relates to devices for deterring drug abuse by using physical deterrents and/or deterrent substances, including a locking mechanism that dispenses a deterrent substance when the drug is improperly accessed. The present disclosure also relates to methods of accessing a drug from such devices.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR GUIDING AND TRACKING MEDICATION USAGE
Methods and systems are provided for tracking and guiding a patient's clinically directed medication usage. Medicaments are placed in secure passive packaging that must be unlocked to enable dispensing of a dose or a set of doses. This packaging is designed to be difficult to open manually, and instead is designed to dispense only when used in combination with an unlocking device. The unlocking device is a separate device containing electronics, mechatronics or both, to unlock and dispense from the packaging and to track and guide usage. Together, the secure container and the unlocking device track medication usage, deter an excessive rate of patient usage, and deter unauthorized access to medication.
CLAM SHELL COVER CAP AND METHOD OF USE
A clam shell cover cap device is a lockable closure which fits over existing medication vials used in the pharmacy and medical industries. It comes preset, with a random combination. The combination is marked with an indicator sticker. The clam Shell Cover Cap may be used to lock a vial.
Device for Deterring Abuse of Drugs
The present disclosure relates to devices for deterring drug abuse and methods thereof. More particularly, the disclosure relates to devices for deterring drug abuse by using physical deterrents and/or deterrent substances, including a mechanism that releases a deterrent substance when improper access of the drug is attempted, and methods thereof.
LOCKABLE MEDICINE CONTAINER AND METHODS
A lockable medicine container includes a canister having a closed bottom end, an opposite top end defining an access opening, a surrounding wall between the bottom end and the access opening, and an interior volume within the surrounding wall. A radially inwardly extending ledge protrudes from the surrounding wall along at least a portion of a perimeter of the access opening. A lid is removably covering the access opening on the top end. A locking ring is rotatably and non-removably secured to the lid and is rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locked position is when the locking ring is engaged with the ledge to prevent removal of the lid from the canister. The unlocked position is when the locking ring is disengaged from the ledge to allow removal of the lid from the canister. A lock member is connected to the locking ring to permit selectively moving the locking ring between the locked position and unlocked position.
Medication compliance platforms, systems, and devices
Provided herein are medication tracking and securement devices, systems, platforms, and methods configured to be used with or in place of commercial standard medicine bottles. The wireless tracking and communications elements of the present disclosure are configured to prevent medication theft, overdosing, medication loss, and prescription noncompliance.
