In a rope of a lifting device, particularly of a passenger transport elevator and/or freight transport elevator, the width of which rope is greater than the thickness in the transverse direction of the rope, which rope includes a load-bearing part in the longitudinal direction of the rope, which load-bearing part includes carbon-fiber reinforced, aramid-fiber reinforced and/or glass-fiber reinforced composite material in a polymer matrix, and which rope includes one or more optical fibers and/or fiber bundles in connection with the load-bearing part and the optical fiber and/or fiber bundle is laminated inside the load-bearing part and/or the optical fiber and/or fiber bundle is glued onto the surface of the load-bearing part and/or and that the optical fiber and/or fiber bundle is embedded or glued into the polymer envelope surrounding the load-bearing part, as well as to a condition monitoring method for the rope of a lifting device.
ELECTRICAL ENERGY GENERATION WITHIN AN ELEVATOR INSTALLATION
An elevator installation and method to passively and reliably generate electrical energy while an elevator installation is in operation includes an elevator car, a tension member for supporting and moving the elevator car, and a pulley engaging with the tension member. Piezoelectric elements are applied to or embedded within the tension member. As the tension member is driven to move the elevator car up and down along an elevator hoistway, the tension member also engages with the rotating pulley. Force imparted to the tension member during this engagement with the pulley is transmitted to the piezoelectric elements which consequently generate electrical energy.
Synthetic fiber rope for hoisting in an elevator
A hoisting device rope has a width larger than a thickness thereof in a transverse direction of the rope. The rope includes a load-bearing part made of a composite material, said composite material comprising non-metallic reinforcing fibers, which include carbon fiber or glass fiber, in a polymer matrix. An elevator includes a drive sheave, an elevator car and a rope system for moving the elevator car by means of the drive sheave. The rope system includes at least one rope that has a width that is larger than a thickness thereof in a transverse direction of the rope. The rope includes a load-bearing part made of a composite material. The composite material includes reinforcing fibers in a polymer matrix.
Rope for a hoisting device and elevator
A rope for a hoisting device, which rope is belt-shaped and includes several load bearing members spaced apart in the width direction of the belt-shaped rope and embedded in a common coating, each of the load bearing members including several load bearing strings twisted together. The load bearing strings are made of composite material including reinforcing fibers embedded in polymer matrix.
ROPE MADE OF TEXTILE FIBRE MATERIAL
The invention relates to a rope (1) made of textile fibre material, which is characterized by the combination of features whereby
a) the load-bearing fibre material of the rope (1) consists of high-strength synthetic fibres
b) the rope (1) is in the form of a spiral strand rope
c) the rope (1) has at least two, preferably at least three concentric load-bearing strand layers (3,4,5)
d) the individual strands (7,8,9,10,11,12) of the strand layers (3,4,5) are movable with respect to one another
e) the degree of filling of the rope (1) with textile fibre material is ≧75%, preferably ≧85%
f) the outermost ply (5,6) of the rope has a coefficient of frictionμ with respect to steel of μ<0.15.
ELEVATOR BELT SURFACE PROTECTION FOR INSTALLATION
A belt of an elevator system includes one or more tension elements extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, and an elastomeric jacket at least partially enveloping the one or more tension elements. The jacket defines a traction side configured to be interactive with a traction sheave of the elevator system and a back side opposite the traction side. A protective tape is applied to the elastomeric jacket at the back side. A method of assembling an elevator system includes forming a belt, and installing the belt in a hoistway of the elevator system. One or more additional components of the elevator system are installed in the hoistway. A protective tape is removed from a jacket of the belt after installation of the one or more additional components is completed.
Wear detection for coated belt or rope
A method of wear detection of a coated belt or rope includes connecting a wear detection unit to one or more monitoring strands and/or cords of a coated belt or rope. The coated belt or rope includes one or more baseline strands and/or cords exhibiting a first change in electrical resistance as a function of bending cycles of the belt or rope and one or more monitoring strands and/or cords exhibiting a second change in electrical resistance as a function of bending cycles of the belt or rope, greater than the first change in electrical resistance. An electrical resistance of the one or more monitoring strands and/or cords is measured via the wear detection unit. Using at least the measured electrical resistance of the one or more monitoring strands and/or cords, a wear condition of the belt or rope is determined.
Compensating rope for an elevator
Elevator, which includes at least an elevator car and a device for moving the elevator car, preferably along guide rails, and a counterweight, and one or more ropes, which rope connects the elevator car and the counterweight and is separate from the supporting function and passes around a diverting pulley mounted on the bottom end of the elevator hoistway. The rope comprises a power transmission part or a plurality of power transmission parts, for transmitting power in the longitudinal direction of the rope, which power transmission part is essentially fully of non-metallic material.
ELEVATOR TENSION ELEMENT BELT WITH FLAME-RETARDANT PROPERTIES
A belt for drive systems includes: an elastic and flame-retardant belt body made from a polymeric material and at least one flame retardant additive, the belt body having a cover layer as a belt back and a substructure which has a force transmission zone; and a tension member embedded in the belt body, wherein the belt body is partially or completely provided with a coating, which coating is single- or multi-layered.
REINFORCEMENT STRAND FOR REINFORCING A POLYMER ARTICLE
A reinforcement strand (400) comprises a core (403) around which steel filaments (404) are twisted all with the same final lay length and direction. The steel filaments are arranged in an intermediate layer comprising N first steel filaments and an outer layer of 2N steel filaments circumferentially arranged around the intermediate layer. In the intermediate layer filaments will contact one another at a closing lay length that is determined by the number of steel filaments N in the intermediate layer, the diameter of the core and the diameter of the first steel filaments. By choosing the final lay length and direction equal to the between two and six times the closing lay length gaps will form between the intermediate layer filaments. The 2N outer layer filaments are further divided into a group of smaller (408) and a group of larger (406) diameter steel filaments.
