Provided is a knit fabric which does not cause feelings of clamminess, feels very cool to the touch and is comfortable, and limits feelings of stickiness and post-sweat chill through rapid drying of sweat, and at the same time is capable of further improving texture. The garment comprises a multilayer-structure circular-knit fabric made of a single circular knit with a layered structure of at least two layers, and the surface that contacts the skin is the needle-loop side of the circular-knit fabric. The circular-knit fabric has portions in which long cellulose fibers and hydrophobic fibers are knit together to form the same knit loops. The garment contains 10-50 weight % of the long cellulose fibers. The exposure rate of the long cellulose fibers in the region from the surface of the side that contacts the skin to 0.13 mm into the interior of the circular-knit fabric is at least 30%.

VIOLACEIN-POLYMER COMPOSITE NANOFIBROUS MEMBRANE HAVING ANTIMICROBIAL EFFICACY AGAINST METHICILLIN-RESISTANT STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a violacein-polymer composite nanofibrous antimicrobial membrane and a method for manufacturing same, wherein the membrane comprises violacein having antimicrobial efficacy against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) caused by resistance to antibiotics and is formed such that one-dimensional nanofibers are three-dimensionally entangled, and can be used as an antimicrobial membrane for preventing and treating MRSA infections. Specifically, a solution in which violacein is uniformly mixed is prepared by dissolving a large amount of violacein in a solution with a polymer dissolved therein, and the solution is subjected to an electrospinning process to synthesize a nanofibrous membrane in which violacein is uniformly included inside/outside nanofibers without agglomeration. Thus, this is different from existing methods for applying a material to the surface of fibers.

The present invention relates to textile articles and clothing such as outdoor garments, indoor garments, and commercial protective wear exposed to contact mixtures of water and oil, swimwear and winter wear exposed to mixtures of water and air. At least part of these textile articles possess a surface provided with at least one of 1) a high surface area, 2) hierarchical pattern, 3) contact angles such that hydrophilic portion of a contact mixture possesses a high contact angle and the hydrophobic portion of a contact mixture possesses a low contact angle, and 4) hysteresis angle greater than 5 degrees. Hydrophobic/Hydrophilic contact mixtures of the present invention can be surfaces where water and or ice are present in combination with oil and or air. The textile articles of the present invention resist slippage on surfaces possessing hydrophobic/hydrophilic contact mixtures.

Aspects herein are directed to a moisture wicking and perspiration concealing knit spacer textile and garments formed therefrom that includes a first knit layer formed from yarns that have been treated with a durable water repellant (DWR) finish prior to being formed into the first knit layer and a second knit layer formed from yarns that have been treated with a wicking finish prior to being formed into the second knit layer. The first knit layer and the second knit layer are interconnected by tie yarns. When the textile is formed into the garment, the second knit layer is configured to be positioned adjacent to a skin surface of a wearer and the first knit layer forms an outer-facing surface of the garment.

A protective garment, gussets for protective garments, and individual gusset layers, being a moisture wicking layer, a core moisture absorbing layer and a moisture impermeable layer, and combinations thereof. The moisture wicking layer including a double knit fabric wherein a technical face of the fabric forms an eyelet mesh utilising both hydrophilic and hydrophobic yarns and a technical back of the fabric forms an interlock utilising only hydrophilic yarns. The moisture absorbing layer including a sinker terry fabric knit comprising sinker loops with plush loops made form synthetic fibres treated with a hydrolysing enzyme that splits the fibres into fibrils. The moisture impermeable layer including a base fabric knit laminated with a polyurethane sheet.

Soil-resistant fiber fabric and method for producing same

A soil-resistant fiber fabric having excellent water/oil repellency and excellent soil dirt resistance is obtained by fixing colloidal silica to a fiber fabric, and by subsequently treating the fiber fabric with a water/oil repellent fluorine compound, thereby having the water/oil repellent fluorine compound adhere to a surface of the fiber fabric.
