A cooling garment, and a method of construction thereof, includes: a first layer configured to be adjacent to a wearer's skin and comprising exemplary cooling fabrics capable of providing a conductive cooling effect when preferably when wet-activated; a second layer adjacent to the first layer and comprising a spacer material that allows for convective air flow; and a third layer adjacent to the second layer and comprising perforated holes in order to enhance the airflow to the first and second layers.

A face mask, face mask system, kit, and methods are shown and described. In one embodiment a face mask may be a knitted face mask. The face mask may be a dual layer face mask including an opening between the dual layers. The face mask may be a knitted, no-sew face mask. The face mask may include a discardable filter.

A protective face shield assembly is provided. The example protective face shield assembly includes a protective element, a frame, and a face seal. The frame defines a continuous inner frame edge and a continuous outer frame edge. The face seal includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two side portions as a continuous unit, defining a continuous inner face seal edge and a continuous outer face seal edge. The invention relates to a textile item of clothing (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) equipped for ballistic protection. Said textile item of clothing (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) has a knitted structure (1) or a darned structure made of at least two yarns (2, 3), the knitted structure (1) or darned structure having ballistic parts and fire-resistant parts.

Single layer and multi-layer anti-microbial wound care fabrics, gloves, sleeves, anklets, socks, finger cots, masks, and similar wound care articles are disclosed.

An article of clothing may include a first layer made of a polyester fabric. The polyester fabric may have the following properties a thread count of at least 130 threads per square inch, a weft knit weave pattern, and a bird's eye mesh texture. The polyester fabric may include a dye sublimation printed image with a resolution that is at least 200 dots per inch. The dye sublimation printed image may be oriented to stretch laterally with a lateral stretch of the polyester. The article of clothing may also include a second layer attached to the first layer. The second layer may include a lining fabric configured to stretch laterally with the first layer.

The present invention provides a thermal insulation filling material and preparation method thereof and a thermal insulation product, and pertains to the field of thermal insulation filling materials. The thermal insulation filling material of the present invention includes: a bulk fibre; and a spherical fibre assembly, where a water-repellent layer is formed on a surface of the bulk fibre and of the spherical fibre assembly, and a weight ratio of the bulk fibre to the spherical fibre assembly is between about 30:70 and about 70:30. The thermal insulation filling material is good in wash durability, and has comprehensive performance such as better blowable processability, quick-drying property, compression-resilience property, and thermal insulation property, etc. The method for preparing the thermal insulation filling material includes: adding a water-repellent agent in the process of gas-flow mixing the bulk fibre and the spherical fibre assembly, and then heating to form a water-repellent layer on the surface of the bulk fibre and of the spherical fibre assembly.

The present disclosure teaches a method of processing chitin, including providing a source of chitin; and pyrolyzing at least a portion of the source of chitin using a microwave plasma. Pyrolyzing includes producing a nanostructured carbon material including at least one of diamond, ultrananocrystalline diamond (UNCD), graphite, and graphene.
