Cap having a spoon-shaped closure
A cap for use with a container may include a body having an opening extending there through. The opening may include a product pathway extending from an upper surface of the body, a flow restrictor, and a coupling mechanism configured to removably couple the body to the container. The cap may also include a closure coupled to the body. The closure may selectively cover the opening and include a spoon shape having a concave surface. The body may further include a stop to limit rotation of the closure relative to the body. The body and/or a container configured for use with the body may further include a child lock feature.
Dispenser
A kit of parts for a feeder has a body and a bung that can slide within the body. A periphery of the bung can form a sliding seal between that periphery and the internal side walls of the body. A base cap has an aperture and is mountable at a lower end of the body to substantially occlude that end and allow airflow through the aperture into the body as the bung moves away. The kit has a teat mouthpiece for liquid foods, a sipper mouthpiece for pureed food, and a spout mouthpiece for mashed food and a pump attachment. The pump attachment has a pump and a spoon. The pump has a pump bung which moves reciprocatingly within the body and forms a sliding seal with the internal side walls. A valve allows food to flow from the feeder but prevents the flow of food into the feeder.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRECISE MEASUREMENT AND DISPENSING OF LIQUIDS
A dispenser device for dispensing fluids is described. The dispenser can include a reservoir cap that can directly attach to and replace the screw top cap of traditional screw top bottle. The reservoir cap includes an air reservoir that can facilitate movement of the fluid through the device. The reservoir cap is coupled to a dispenser that is configured to receive the fluid from the cap. The dispenser can be detached from the cap and used to directly dispense the fluid.
DOSING DEVICE FOR MEASURING AND DISPENSING MINI-TABLETS
A multiple dose spoon device for scooping, retaining, and delivering to a patient a specific number of mini-tablets from a container, e.g., bottle, or bulk pile, of mini-tablets. The device comprises a top housing, a bottom housing, and one or two sliders movably positioned between top housing and bottom housing, said: a) top housing having a plurality of nests, and also having a handle with an open window and slider retention notches, and b) one or two sliders with slider tabs, having a plurality of sequential whole number markings equivalent to the plurality of nests, and a plurality minus 1 of tablet blocking ribs, wherein slider movement is regulated by the slider retention notches, and wherein the plurality of nests and the plurality of whole number markings are a same number. Alternatively, the top housing does not have slider retention notches, and the one or two sliders have slider retention notches.
Pill crushing device for pulverizing pills and minimizing transfer loss of pulverized pills
A pill crushing device pulverizes pills and then transfers the pulverized pills out of the device with minimal transfer loss and spillage. The device includes a pill chamber and may include a storage portion. The pill chamber forms a threaded connection with the storage portion that enables detachment. The storage portion stores the pill and operates the crushing mechanism. The pill is pulverized in the pill chamber. The pill chamber is disposed beneath the storage portion. A first spoon retains the pill and carries the pulverized pill out of the chamber along a longitudinal opening of the pill chamber. An optional second spoon detachably attaches to the first spoon to carry supplemental compositions to the pulverized pill.
Compositions and methods for treating epilepsy, seizures and other conditions
Compositions are provided for the liquid oral administration of topiramate and its salts. The invention further provides methods for treating diseases and disorders using the compositions.
System for precise measurement and dispensing of liquids
A dispenser device for dispensing fluids is described. The dispenser can include a reservoir cap that can directly attach to and replace the screw top cap of traditional screw top bottle. The reservoir cap includes an air reservoir that can facilitate movement of the fluid through the device. The reservoir cap is coupled to a dispenser that is configured to receive the fluid from the cap. The dispenser can be detached from the cap and used to directly dispense the fluid.
FEEDING ATTACHMENTS, FEEDING CUP AND METHODS OF USE
The invention relates to a feeding attachment for a feeding cup for feeding a patient with feeding difficulties. The feeding cup including a cup body for containing thickened liquid food a wall, and an exit channel. The feeding attachment includes an attachment means for removably attaching to the exit channel and a body for receipt of the thickened liquid food, via the exit channel. A control means, for control of the thickened liquid food from the exit channel is also included. In this way thickened liquid food may enter the body of the feeding attachment from the exit channel, as controlled by the control means, and the patient may take the thickened liquid food from the body of the feeding attachment without hyperextension of the neck. The invention also relates to the cup and feeding attachment together and methods of use.
Dosage Cup and Measurement Kit
A measurement kit may provide items including at least one dosage cup or container, at least one measurement spoon, at least one dosing spoon, at least one syringe, at least one magnifying glass or lens, and measurement instructions. Each of the items provided in the measurement kit may provide measurement indicators that may indicate volumetric measurements and be sized to fit into existing medicine containers or boxes. A dosage cup or container may provide an interior shape that may prevent liquid from remaining at a bottom of the cup or container when the contents of the dosage cup or container are emptied. The dosage cup or container may provide a plurality of measurement indicators about an exterior of the dosage cup or container that are colored or color-coded to correspond to volumetric measurements, and the measurement instructions are color-coded and include color-matched labels.
