The valve connector comprises a housing, a conduit traversing the housing from an inlet to an outlet; and a retaining element extending outwardly from the housing. The anchor comprises an anchor housing configured to receive a portion of the valve connector. The anchor housing has a gastrostomy feeding tube attachment feature for attaching the anchor to the feeding tube, and a valve connector retaining feature that defines a retaining space, wherein the retaining space receives the retaining element of the valve connector and is sized to enable rotation of the retaining element and the valve connector relative to the anchor such that the conduit of the valve connector maintains fluid connection with the gastrostomy feeding tube during rotation. Additional assemblies and systems are also provided for other medical devices.

GUARD FOR ADAPTOR IN AN INTRAVENOUS LINE

There is provided a guard for an intravenous adaptor. The guard comprises a polymer sheet formed of a polymer film, the polymer sheet having left, right and middle portions; tear lines within the polymer sheet, located on either side of the central extent of the middle portion; a pull strip extending lengthwise, generally parallel to the central extent and positioned between the tear lines; and an adhesive applied to a periphery of the polymer sheet and over the ends of the pull strip, the tear lines penetrating through the adhesive. The left and right portions of the polymer sheet are arranged to be folded onto each other to form a folded polymer sheet adhered by the adhesive to define a pocket, which is openable by tearing the folded polymer sheet and adhesive along the tear lines.

GASTROSTOMY CATHETER, INSERTION JIG SET, INSERTION JIG AND GASTROSTOMY CATHETER SET

The gastrostomy catheter includes a shaft in which a lumen is provided, a flexible bumper which is provided at a tip of the shaft, and a wire which has elasticity and can bias the bumper in a diameter-increasing direction and restricts deformation of the bumper in a diameter-decreasing direction. At least a portion on a tip side of the wire biases the bumper in the diameter-increasing direction or restricts the deformation of the bumper in the diameter-decreasing direction by the elasticity of the wire in a state in which the wire is disposed in the bumper.

A respiratory mask can be used to provide therapy to patients who also require a nasogastric (NG) tube. The mask seal can include a path that is designed to deform around an NG tube or other without lifting the mask away from a patient's face. The deforming path can help to minimize gaps that form between the patient's face and the mask seal as a result of the tube, thus reducing leaks and improving the efficacy of the treatment.
