Double Balloon Floating Feeding Jejunostomy Tube
20180228698 · 2018-08-16 ·

A jejunostomy feeding device includes an elongate flexible member extending from a proximal end to a distal end and including a feeding lumen extending therethrough. The device also includes a first balloon attached to a distal portion of the flexible member. In addition, the device includes a second balloon attached to the flexible member proximally of the first balloon, the second balloon including a groove extending about at least a portion of a circumference thereof to anchor the second balloon within target anchoring tissue upon inflation thereof, wherein the first balloon and the second balloon are separated by a first distance selected so that when the second balloon is positioned at a target site within a target body lumen, the second balloon anchors the first balloon within the target body lumen positioned so that the first balloon presses against an inner wall of the body lumen to seal an entry point at which the flexible member enters the body lumen.

A gastric probe, which can be inserted through the nose of a patient, includes a hose for nasoenteral feeding of the patient and/or for discharging gastric juice. An extraction tube is secured to the hose and has, at a distal end, an extraction section which includes a plurality of openings. The extraction section, when inserted, is placed in the pharynx of the patient in order to extract saliva from the pharynx.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATIC MANAGEMENT OF REFLUX DURING ENTERAL FEEDING

A jejunal system and apparatus are disclosed. The jejunal system includes a sheath having a proximal end and a distal end. A plurality of lumens extend through the sheath between the proximal end and the distal end. A first lumen of the plurality of lumens is provided with a first aperture set and a second aperture set. The first aperture set is in fluid communication with the second aperture set via the first lumen. The jejunal system is dimensioned and configured such that, when the system is inserted into a human body, the first aperture set is located in a small intestine of the human body, and the second aperture set is located in a stomach of the human body.
