Interactive NGT system
Disclosed is an NGT system, the system comprises a nasogastric tube having a diameter and length configured to pass through an esophagus such that the lumen of the NGT maintains fluid communication with a portion of the digestive tract, and a digestive tract sensor operatively associated with the NGT, the digestive tract sensor configured to sense from inside the body and transmit signals in response to one or both of conditions relating to nourishment states of the digestive tract, and positioning of the NGT.
ENTERAL FEEDING TUBE
An enteral feeding tube capable of delivering nutrients and/or medications to a patient at multiple points in the gastrointestinal tract and/or aspirating the gastrointestinal tract, comprising two or more channels each with at least one opening, said channels running parallel to the other until one channel ends, each channel keeping the fluid separated from the other channel, said channels being open at the proximal end and closed or open at the distal end and each channel having one or more perforations of same or variable size.
ENTERAL FEEDING PUMP
A nasogastric apparatus, comprising: a pump configured to draw a liquid from a reservoir to a nasogastric tube; a switching mechanism associated with at least two vacuum lumens provided with the nasogastric tube; and a controller configured to control the pump and the switching mechanism.
NASOGASTRIC TUBE
The present disclosure discloses a nasogastric tube used to insert into a patient's body from nose to stomach. The patient's body from nose to stomach comprises a posterior pharyngeal wall, an inferior conch, a nasopharynx rear-upper wall, and a soft palate; the nasogastric tube comprises a tube body and a pressurized structure. The tube body has a longitudinal direction and includes a proximal end and a distal end. A distance is between and the posterior pharyngeal wall. The pressurized structure is disposed on the tube body along the longitudinal direction and near the distal end. The pressurized structure comprises a cavity. When a fluid is filled into the cavity, the pressurized structure is pressurized; and the distal end is lifted to reduce the distance to the posterior pharyngeal wall.
NASOGASTRIC TUBE WITH MULTIPLE PASSAGES
A nasogastric tube is provided, and includes an adapter and an extension in order to construct a first path and a second path that are separated from each other. The extension is constructed as a single tube body with a front end disposed on the adapter, the extension has a first passage and a second passage that are separated from each other. The adapter includes a first connection port and a second connection port respectively connected to the first passage and the second passage. The extension has a first opening connected to the first passage, a portion of the extension where the first opening exists is configured to define a working portion, the working portion is configured to be positioned only in the hypopharynx, and the working portion is ranged from 0.1 cm to 3 cm in an elongated direction of the extension.
Nasogastric tube
A nasogastric tube (10) including a main lumen (12) having one or more proximal connectors (14) for connecting to a source of substances or pressure, and one or more vacuum lumens (16) peripherally surrounding the main lumen (12), each vacuum lumen (16) including a vacuum sealing portion (24), which includes one or more suction ports (26) for sealingly drawing an inner wall of an esophagus thereagainst.
Systems and Methods for Tubing Delivery
Adapters for a connector assembly for percutaneous tubing are provided. A male adapter (FIG. 22a, 1000) includes a connector fitting (1002) proximate a first end, the connector fitting configured to join to a connector for a tubing system or device, and a male connector (656) proximate a second end. The male connector includes a plug end with a fluid lumen defined therethrough, the plug end having a circumferential groove defined therein to receive a locking extension of a female connector sized to be received within the circumferential groove of the plug end to allow the female connector to rotate relative to and maintain axial engagement with the male connector when the locking extension is received within the groove. An adapter having a female connector (FIG. 24, 1300) is also provided.
INSERTABLE DEVICE TO PREVENT ASPIRATION OF STOMACH CONTENTS DURING VENTILATION AND INTUBATION
A novel nasogastric tube, that when properly inserted within a person, blocks the esophagus of the person to prevent gastric contents from being aspirated. The tube can be left in place during direct langroscopy and the device can include a preferably inflatable balloon for obstructing the person's esophagus. This balloon can be preferably provided on a slidable tube that allows for head movement/flexion without movement of the balloon placement. The tube can be a dual or single lumen device. With a duel lumen device, a first lumen can be connected to a suction tubing to suction gastric contents from the distal end of the tube, while the other lumen can open up above the cuff to allow for easier ventilation with a bag valve mask/BVM.
Feeding tube with inflatable balloon component
A feeding tube with an inflatable balloon component, a kit containing the feeding tubing, and a method for intubating a patient to deliver the feeding tube to a desired location for delivering nutrients and/or medication to the patient are described herein.
