A support element for a compacting device for two drawing system units of a spinning machine disposed next to each other, includes a suction channel that extends inside the support element and is connected to a suction zone of suction drums via openings of suction inserts. The end faces of the suction drums are open at one end and are disposed coaxially opposite each other at a distance. The suction drums are rotatably mounted on a shaft that is attached to the support element. The support element is formed from two half shells that form the suction channel and are connected to each other by way of attachment means, wherein each of the half shells has an outwardly projecting tubular suction insert. The suction inserts are disposed coaxially opposite each other, and each suction insert has at least one bearing element that is provided with a passage and has at least one brace, by way of which the shaft is held in the radial direction.

A support element for a compacting device for two drawing system units of a spinning machine disposed next to each other, includes a suction channel that extends inside the support element and is connected to a suction zone of suction drums via openings of suction inserts. Textile Machine for the Production of Roving and Method for Operating the Same
The invention relates to a method for operating a textile machine which serves to produce roving (1), wherein during roving production a roving (1) having a protective twist is produced by means of at least one consolidating means from a fiber bundle (3) that is fed to the consolidating means, wherein the roving (1) produced by the consolidating means is wound by a winding device (5) onto a tube (7), wherein the roving (1) during the winding process is guided by means of a guide element (23) which is arranged between the consolidating means and the tube (7), and wherein the guide element (23) exerts a decelerating effect on the roving (1). According to the invention, it is proposed that the decelerating effect is adapted during operation of the textile machine in such a way that it is lower during a start procedure, while the roving (1) leaving the consolidating means is being brought into contact with a tube (7), preferably an empty tube (7), and/or during a tube change, while a wound tube (7) is being replaced by an empty tube (7), than during a winding process that takes place between the start procedure and the tube change. A textile machine for producing a roving (1) is also described, said textile machine having at least one controller which is designed to operate the textile machine in accordance with the method according to the invention.

The present invention relates to a method and spinning device for drafting single yarns. The method comprises drafting fiber strands into twistless fiber strands, bringing a primary twist action upon fiber strands in the vortex twist zone, integrating and compressing fiber strands on the suction member to form column fiber strands, outputting column fiber strands and twisting them into spun yarns. The spinning device comprises a drafting mechanism with suction members, wherein the front drafting pair consists of a front rubber roller, a block rubber roller, and a suction member, an air guide member is installed on the suction member, and the block rubber roller, air guide member, and the suction member jointly form a vortex twist zone which fiber strands can pass through.

Compressing Device Having a Suction Drum
An apparatus (VM) for compacting a fiber sliver (V) on a spinning machine, having a carrier (16) which has a receptacle (19) for a bolt (36), having a rotatably mounted suction drum (14) which has a closed end face (34) and an open end face (35), and a bearing element (K) is disposed in the region of the closed end face (34), the suction drum (14) being rotatably mounted on an end section of the bolt (36) by means of said bearing element, so that the bolt (36) protrudes out of the open end face (35) of the suction drum (14). In order to permit simple and rapid assembly and/or disassembly of the suction drum (14) during the entire running time of the compaction apparatus (VM), the suction drum (14) is affixed axially by means of the bearing element (K) with the bolt (36), as seen in its axial direction, so that the suction drum (14) and the bolt (36) form a separate unit of the apparatus (VM) and at least one fastening means (45) by means of which the bolt (36) is releasably fastened in the receptacle (19), is provided.
Compressing Device Having a Suction Drum
An apparatus (VM) for compacting a fiber sliver (V) on a spinning machine, having a carrier (16) which has a receptacle (19) for a bolt (36), having a rotatably mounted suction drum (14) which has a closed end face (34) and an open end face (35), and a bearing element (K) is disposed in the region of the closed end face (34), the suction drum (14) being rotatably mounted on an end section of the bolt (36) by means of said bearing element, so that the bolt (36) protrudes out of the open end face (35) of the suction drum (14). There is provided an apparatus for drawing a fibre, the apparatus comprising, a first outlet for dispensing a volume of a first polyionic polymer solution; and a second outlet for dispensing a volume of a second oppositely charged polyionic polymer solution; said second outlet disposed adjacent to the first outlet such that the polymer solutions dispensed therefrom are capable of contacting each other to form a fused droplet comprising a polyelectrolyte complex interface separating the first polyionic and second polyionic polymer solutions; wherein the fused droplet is arranged to move along a fibre drawing path under gravitational force in an opposing direction from the first and second outlets such that nascent fibre is drawn from the polyelectrolyte complex interface. There is also provided a method of drawing the fibre.
