A container cap is configured to attach to the container and cover the top opening. The container cap includes a probe thermometer having a sensing tip positioned above the bottom recess when the container cap is attached to the container. A non-insulated cooling base has a protrusion configured to mate within the recess when the container is resting on the base. An insulated shell assembly includes a top and bottom configured to connect to each other, wherein the shell assembly is configured to at least partially encapsulate the container, the container cap and the cooling base.
VESSEL FOR BREAST MILK COLLECTION, PRESERVATION, TRANSPORTATION, AND DELIVERY
A vessel includes an inner container, an outer container, a connector, a cap, and a lid. The outer container includes a first coupler and an outer chamber. The inner container includes a second coupler and an inner chamber to hold a liquid. The inner container is receivable at least partially within the outer chamber. The connector includes a third coupler that is complimentary to the first coupler, and a fourth coupler that is complimentary to the second coupler. When both the first coupler is engaged with the third coupler and the second coupler is engaged with the fourth coupler, the outer chamber is entirely enclosed within a liquid-proof barrier.
POWER EFFICIENT SOLID-STATE COOLING WITH A NOVEL RECHARGEABLE CHEMICAL BATTERY SYSTEMS
In one aspect, a thermoelectric anti-freeze block-based system includes a cartridge with a chemical battery comprising. The chemical battery for a gel material. The chemical battery uses the gel material to maintain an internal chamber of the cartridge at a specified temperature for a specified period of time, and the internal chamber of the cartridge, wherein the internal chamber comprises a sealable cylindrical cavity surrounded by the chemical battery. A vacuum-insulation thermos is provided that includes an internal chamber to hold the cartridge with the chemical battery. A charging station is provided that includes a thermoelectric anti-freeze block-based charging station includes a liquid pump. The liquid pump is connected through a bottom of the charging station where a thermoelectric cooler system is provided. The liquid pump comprises a radiator, a fan and an anti-freeze liquid material. The liquid pump circulates the anti-freeze liquid material inside the charging station and through the radiators. The circulated anti-freeze liquid material carries away the heat from a hot side of the thermoelectric cooler system. The cartridge with the chemical battery sits inside the charging station canister during the cooling process that cools the gel material within the chemical battery, and a power source that powers the liquid pump, the fan, and the radiator.
Biologic stability, delivery logistics and administration of time and/or temperature sensitive biologic based materials
In some embodiments, alerts are sent to appropriate parties if an insulated container is not properly packed out to insure the approximate safe temperature of the materials. In other embodiments, a countdown timer is used to keep track of the time that the biologic has been in transit, and ensure that the amount of time does not exceed the known shelf life of the biologic. In still other embodiments, the payload container is equipped with its own sensors, such as temperature sensors, and communications devices, such as a close range communication device, capable of transmitting information regarding a range of parameters, including, but not limited to, temperature, humidity, location and time, from the payload container to an end user. In other embodiments, shielding and/or radiation sensors are included in insulated shipping or storage containers, or payload containers, to shield and monitor the radiation exposure of the payload.
Portable temperature controlled container
This invention relates to a portable temperature controlled container comprising a body having a storage compartment, an opening to permit access to the storage compartment and an insulated lid. The container comprises a fan, a heat sink and a first thermoelectric device, as well as a first phase change material and a second thermoelectric device in thermal communication with both the first phase change material and the storage compartment. The second thermoelectric device in thermal communication with both the first phase change material and the storage compartment is operable to transfer energy in the form of heat between the storage compartment and the first phase change material. The thermoelectric devices can be Peltier elements.
Portable Temperature-Stable Storage Device
A portable temperature-stable storage device configured to enable transport of a plurality of temperature-sensitive objects at a stable temperature, the portable temperature-stable storage device comprising: an insulating enclosure for storing the plurality of temperature-sensitive objects; an aperture in a wall of the insulating enclosure; a first barrier disposed across the aperture and configured to be moved between an open configuration and a closed configuration; a plurality of compartments for storing the plurality of temperature-sensitive objects, the plurality of compartments being comprised within the insulating enclosure, the plurality of compartments being configured to move relative to the aperture; and means for moving the compartments in turn into alignment with the aperture while the first barrier is in the closed configuration.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOADING A LYOPHILIZATION SYSTEM
Disclosed are systems and methods for aseptically filling pharmaceutical containers with a pharmaceutical substance and then lyophilizing it. In one general aspect, the system and method can employ a lyophilizer loader subsystem having an interior chamber in communication with an interior chamber of a lyophilizer subsystem via a portal with a sealable door, with the collective interior being aseptically sealable. An articulated robotic arm can be employed to batch transfer to the lyophilizer subsystem container nests bearing the pharmaceutical containers. In one embodiment, the nests may be transferred serially to the loader subsystem, with the articulated robotic arm being configured to transfer the nests of containers in batches to the lyophilizer subsystem. The articulated robotic arm can also be configured to be used to move batches of nests within the lyophilizer subsystem. One implementation includes two articulated arms and a joint rotary wrist driven by two rotary shoulders.
FLAVOR OR SCENT CARRYING PACIFIER OR TEETHING RING
An infant intraoral device can include an intraoral portion and a sensory material carried by the intraoral portion. The intraoral portion may be formed of a biocompatible and food-safe polymeric material, with the intraoral portion being shaped and configured to sooth an infant upon one of sucking and chewing on the intraoral portion. The secondary sensory material can have one or more of a flavor or a scent associated therewith.
TEETHER
A teether for an infant includes a teething member with a stainless steel core completely covered by a layer of silicon. A main body of the teether a defines a through hole, and the teething member is movable between a first position where the teething member is positioned within the through hole of the main body and a second position where the teething member is positioned outside of the through hole of the main body.
