FILLING PROCESS WITH CELL-BY-CELL AUTOMATED COMPOUNDING
A method for filling a pod is provided. A pod is provided and has a housing defining a plurality of serving chambers arranged in an annular array and surrounding a drive hub. Data is received that is indicative of a customized nutritional supplement for the pod to a controller of an automated filling station. The customized nutritional supplement is filled into at least one of the plurality of serving chambers of the pod via the automated filling station by controlling a plurality of hoppers of the filling station to dispense the customized supplement into the plurality of serving chambers of the pod. Each hopper contains a corresponding ingredient available for the customized supplement.
Work station for medical dose preparation
Embodiments of work stations for use in a medical dose preparation management system are disclosed. A work station may include a camera stand. The camera stand may include a housing enclosing a camera and one or more light sources therein. As such, the camera and light sources may be directed at a medical dose preparation staging region to capture medical dose preparation images of the medical dose preparation staging region. The camera stand may include an adjustable support positionable in a plurality of positions to dispose the camera and light source relative to the medical dose preparation staging region. The work stations may facilitate improved image quality and record work flows carried out at the work station for preparation verification.
CONTINUOUS WEIGHING SYSTEM FOR SMALL PRODUCTS AND WEIGHING METHOD THEREOF
A weighing system is mounted on a support, and the support is configured to support the weighing system. The weighing system includes a feeding mechanism, a conveying and transferring mechanism, pushing rods, a pushing mechanism, resetting mechanisms, a weighing mechanism, and a linkage follower mechanism. The feeding mechanism is arranged at a top portion of the support. The conveying and transferring mechanism is arranged below the feeding mechanism. The conveying and transferring mechanism includes a transferring wheel, a plurality of first channels, a plurality of sliding blocks, a plurality of first grooves and a guide base. The pushing mechanism is arranged on one side of the transferring wheel. The resetting mechanisms are configured to push the sliding blocks connected with the pushing rods to slide along the first channel towards an initial direction, and the weighing mechanism is arranged below the transferring wheel.
SENSOR DRIVEN SECURE DISPENSING UNIT
A secure dispensing unit includes a housing comprising a first end and a second end and a number of storage assemblies. The number of storage assemblies are arranged in parallel with one another within the housing. Each storage assembly includes a number of compartments arranged linearly along an axis of the housing with each of the compartments being configured to store an item. A cover is coupled with the housing and extends between the first end and the second end such that the cover is positioned over the compartments. An actuator is coupled with the cover, the actuator being configured to retract the cover to draw a distal end of the cover from the first end toward the second end to expose a selected number of compartments.
APPARATUS FOR DRUG PREPARATION, WEIGHING DEVICE INCLUDED IN THE APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR DRUG PREPARATION
Apparatus for drug preparation, comprising: a first rotor adapted to support a first container for the drug and available, in a releasable manner, on the first rotor; a second rotor adapted to support a plurality of second containers, each containing a respective ingredient; pumping means, controllable by a control unit so as to transfer each ingredient from the respective second container into the first container; a weighing device, adapted to weigh the first container and comprising a translation means, a loading cell and at least one spacer adapted to support the first container. In a condition where the spacer supports the first container by decoupling it from the first support element, the loading cell is adapted to continuously generate, during the transfer of the ingredient, a quantity indicative of a weight force.
Method and apparatus for medication storage and delivery
An intelligent pill box device comprising: a base and a display panel. The base includes a plurality of cylindrical shaped receptacles for storing medication bottles wherein each receptacle includes a radio frequency identification reader, a faraday cage, and a load cell at the bottom of the receptacle to measure the weight of the contents of the receptacle.
Apparatus and Method for Dispensing Pharmaceuticals and Other Medications
A medication dispensing apparatus includes a housing for at storing at least one medication in bulk, a dispenser and a verification sensor. The at least one medication including a plurality of doses of the at least one medication. The dispenser separates a single dose from the at least one medication in bulk. The dispenser moves the single dose of the at least one medication from a position within the housing to a position outside the housing. The verification sensor verifies that the at least one medication is a correct medication.
Fluid level monitoring system
A fluid level monitoring device and a method of use are disclosed for alerting a user that the fluid in a container, such as an intravenous (i.v.) injection or irrigation bag or collection of waste from a human body (catheter) have reached a pre-determined volume.
Carousel for automatic drug compounder
A carousel configured to house a plurality of pump cartridges for a compounder system is provided. The carousel may include a plurality of cartridge pockets each having an extended portion that covers a portion of a cartridge and a bottom surface Shaving an extension with a recess. The bottom surface recess of each cartridge pocket may be shaped and sized to receive a needle housing of a pump cartridge in the cartridge pocket. A recess may be provided in the extended portion of each pocket that receives a protrusion that extends from a top surface of a backpack coupled to the pump cartridge to secure the pump cartridge in the cartridge pocket. The bottom surface recess may have an additional bottom surface that prevents actuation of the needle housing of the pump cartridge.
IMPROVED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICINE DELIVERY
Improved systems and methods for medicine delivery, and in particular, improved insulin pen needles and related devices are provided. Smart injection devices record and transfer data including medicine level, delivered dose, dose confirmation, and dose time and date.
