Washing machine
Provided is a washing machine including an auxiliary washing unit configured with an auxiliary washing space formed separately from a main washing space formed in a rotating tub, and a discharging assembly by which the auxiliary washing space and the main washing space are selectively in communication with each other. Through such a structure, auxiliary washing may be independently performed, and washing efficiency may be enhanced.
Appliance lid hinge assembly with snubber
A hinge assembly for pivotally connecting an associated appliance lid to an associated appliance body includes a base adapted to be connected to the associated appliance body. A cam is rotatably supported on the base and is adapted to be engaged by the associated appliance lid and is rotatable about a lid pivot axis. A snubber/damper is operatively connected to the base. The cam exerts a snubber activation force on the snubber when said cam rotates about the lid pivot axis in a first direction corresponding to movement of the associated appliance lid from an opened position toward a closed position such that the snubber damps movement of the cam when the cam rotates in the first direction.
Washing machine lid attachment
A washing machine lid and a hinge for attaching the washing machine lid. The washing machine includes a cabinet and a rotatable lid. A hinge rotatably connects the lid to a top panel or front panel of the cabinet. The hinge includes a shaft, a housing defining a cavity for receiving an end of the shaft, and a connecting member extending from the housing such that the housing and the connecting member are rotatable around the shaft. The connecting member includes one or more tabs. The lid includes a pocket, the pocket receives the hinge, the pocket defines one or more sockets for receiving the one or more tabs, and the one or more tabs are biased into engagement with the one or more sockets.
LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPARATUS
A laundry treatment apparatus includes a tub body for receiving water, a tub cover that covers an upper surface of the tub body and that defines an introduction aperture, a drum located inside the tub body for receiving laundry, a door for opening and closing the introduction aperture, a hinge that rotatably couples the door to the tub cover, a fixing unit that releasably couples a portion of the door to the tub cover, and a sealing unit on the door or the introduction aperture that is configured to seal the introduction aperture based on the introduction aperture being closed by the door. A portion of the sealing unit located in a direction in which the fixing unit is provided has a different diameter from a diameter of a portion of the sealing unit that is located in a direction in which the hinge is provided.

A portion of the sealing unit located in a direction in which the fixing unit is provided has a different diameter from a diameter of a portion of the sealing unit that is located in a direction in which the hinge is provided.
CLOTHES TREATMENT APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
A laundry treating apparatus includes a tub configured to hold wash water, a drum rotatably supported in the tub and including a shaft disposed perpendicular with the ground, and a sub-drum detachably mounted to the drum and configured to wash laundry independently from the drum. The sub-drum includes a discharging area in which a discharging path is defined to selectively discharge the wash water in the sub-drum by a centrifugal force generated by rotation of the sub-drum. A check valve is included in the discharging area and is configured to selectively open and close the discharging area when acted on by an external force applied by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the sub-drum.
Washing machine having multiple washing units
A washing machine includes a first housing, a second housing arranged above the first housing and having a laundry inlet arranged on the top, a first tub covered by the first housing and having a first opening on the front, a second tub covered by the second housing and having a second opening on the top, and a detergent container arranged in the second housing for storing a detergent to be supplied to the first tub.
Washing machine
Disclosed is a washing machine including a main body, a main washing unit provided inside the main body, and a door unit for opening and closing a main entrance formed in the main body to approach the main washing unit. The door unit includes a main door and an auxiliary door. The main door includes an auxiliary washing unit, an auxiliary entrance for inputting laundry into the auxiliary washing unit, and an opening through which the contents of the auxiliary washing unit are discharged. The auxiliary door is rotatably coupled to the main door to open and close the auxiliary entrance. When the auxiliary door is opened, the auxiliary door closes the opening to form an auxiliary washing space in which water is able to be contained. When the auxiliary door is closed after the hand-washing, the opening is opened to discharge the laundry and the washing water in the auxiliary laundry space to the main washing unit naturally.
Laundry treating appliance with a non-encapsulated glass lid
A vertical axis laundry treating appliance having a non-encapsulated lid comprising a single panel of glass that is able to pass the UL 746C ball drop test. Non-encapsulated glass lids according to embodiments of the disclosure simplify part and assembly complexity compared to encapsulated glass lids.
DRUM WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR OPENING A DOOR OF THE DRUM WASHING MACHINE DURING RUNNING
A drum washing machine and a control method for opening a door of the drum washing machine during running are provided. The control method comprises the following steps: S1, receiving a door opening instruction sent by a user; S2, judging whether a water level at a front end of a drum assembly of the drum washing machine satisfies a condition of opening the door, if yes, entering step S4, if no, entering step S3; S3, tilting the drum assembly with a tilting mechanism, and then returning to step S2; and S4, unlocking a door lock. Through a manner of lifting a front end of the drum assembly, the operation of opening the door during running is realized. In this way, the original parts of the washing machine do not need to be changed.
