Method for controlling expansion valve of frequency conversion heat pump clothes dryer
A method for controlling an expansion valve of a frequency conversion heat pump clothes dryer. The open degree of the valve is adjusted through parameters such as the operation time/power/current at a frequency of the frequency conversion compressor; a reference value of the operation time/power/current at a certain frequency is set, and compared with an actual value of the operation time/power/current at the certain frequency of the compressor; if the actual value of the operation time is less than the set reference value or the actual value of the power/current is greater than the reference value, the open degree of the expansion value is increased; and if the actual value of the operation time is greater than the set reference value or the actual value of the power/current is less than the set reference value, the open degree of the expansion valve is decreased.
Laundry treating apparatus and control method for the same
A laundry treating apparatus includes first and second treating apparatuses; a first display on which a control command that may be input to the first treating apparatus; a first apparatus input unit for inputting the control command to the first treating apparatus; a first display controller controlling the first display and the first apparatus input unit; a first apparatus first power circuit connecting the first display controller and the first apparatus input unit to a power source; a first apparatus second power circuit connecting the power source with the first load controller, switched by a first controller switch; and a first apparatus third power circuit connecting the power source with the first driving unit, switched by a first load portion switch. When the control command is input through the first apparatus input unit, the first display controller controls the first controller switch to close the first apparatus second power circuit.
Retrofit moisture and humidity sensor and automatic shutoff device for clothes dryers
The present invention provides a retrofit device to automatically shut off a clothes dryer to prevent over drying. The device includes a humidity sensor apparatus for placement inside a clothes dryer. The Sensor communicates with a Receiver device connected to an electrical wall outlet and to the electrical plug of the clothes dryer. The Receiver turns off the power to the clothes dryer when the humidity level in the clothes dryer drops to a predetermined level, as detected by the Sensor.
CLOTHES DRYER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A clothes dryer is disclosed. The clothes dryer includes a rotatably disposed drum, a heat pump system including a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant and a condenser configured to condense the refrigerant, a heater configured to heat air supplied to the interior of the drum, a first temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of air passing through the interior of the drum, a second temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of the compressor, and a processor configured to control an operation of the compressor on the basis of the temperature of the air passing through the interior of the drum detected by the first temperature sensor and control an operation of the heater on the basis of the temperature of the compressor detected by the second temperature sensor.
CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER HAVING A HEAT PUMP AND A RECIRCULATED AIR PORTION AND METHOD FOR THE OPERATION THEREOF
A dryer has a drum for laundry items to be dried, a supply air channel, an exhaust air channel, a recirculated air channel branching off therefrom and discharging into the supply air channel upstream of a drum inlet, a blower, a heat pump having a condenser disposed in the supply air channel, an evaporator disposed in the exhaust air channel, a throttle, a compressor, a controller and a heater. The dryer is configured such that moist warm air flows out of the drum in an exhaust air channel part, substantially in the same direction as the supply air in an inlet part of the supply air channel containing the condenser. The process air leaving the drum has a relative air humidity F.sup.rel, to which F.sup.rel.sub.min?F.sup.rel?F.sup.rel.sub.max applies, wherein F.sup.rel.sub.min is a predetermined minimum value and F.sup.rel.sub.max is a maximum value of the relative air humidity.
Method of using image recognition processes for improved operation of a laundry appliance
A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket that is rotatably mounted within a wash tub and that defines a wash chamber for receiving a load of clothes. A basket speed sensor monitors the speed of the wash basket and a camera assembly is mounted within the wash tub for taking images of the load of clothes during and/or after a wash or rinse cycle. A controller determines the basket speed, adjusts a frame rate of the camera assembly to match the basket speed, obtains a still image from the camera assembly, analyzes the image using a machine learning image recognition process to determine a remaining moisture content (RMC) of the load of clothes, and adjusts at least one operating parameter of the washing machine appliance based on the remaining moisture content, e.g., such as ending the drain cycle when a target RMC is reached.
Heat pump laundry treatment apparatus and method of operating a heat pump laundry treatment apparatus
A heat pump laundry dryer or a heat pump washing machine having a drying function, includes a control unit controlling an operation of the laundry treatment apparatus. A laundry treatment chamber treats laundry using process air circulated in a process air circuit. A heat pump system has a refrigerant loop in which refrigerant fluid is circulated through a first and a second heat exchanger. A compressor circulates the refrigerant fluid through the refrigerant loop, and a cooling fan unit cools the compressor. During the operation, a conveyance capacity of the cooling fan unit is varied. A detector unit detects an operation parameter indicating a state of at least one electronic board. A method of operation includes operating the cooling fan unit based upon the electronic board operation parameter, and controlling the compressor operation output based upon the electronic board operation parameter, wherein the compressor is a variable speed compressor.
