The present application relates to steam iron (1). The steam iron (1) comprises a sole plate (3). The sole plate (3) has a steam channel (6) for the passage of steam, an ironing surface (10), vents (4) for the passage of steam between the steam channel (6) and the ironing surface (10), an aperture (9) extending between the steam channel (6) and the ironing surface (10), and a fragrance cartridge (7) being received in the aperture (9) such that it extends into the steam channel (6) to diffuse fragrance in the steam channel (6). The aperture (9) secures the fragrance cartridge (10) in the sole plate (3) such that fragrance cartridge (7) is flush with the ironing surface (10). The present invention also relates to a fragrance cartridge (7) and to a method of imparting a fragrance to steam produced by a steam iron (1).

The present application relates to a steam iron head (30). The steam iron head (30) has a steam pathway (40) along which steam flows. A cyclonic chamber (61) is along the steam pathway (40). The steam iron head (30) also has a flow inlet (62) to the cyclonic chamber (61), a flow outlet (63) from the cyclonic chamber (61), and a conduit (67) in the cyclonic chamber (61) defining the flow outlet (63). The conduit (67) upstands in the cyclonic chamber (61) and has an opening in a free end (68) of the conduit through which the flow of steam exits the cyclonic chamber (61). The conduit (67) is provided with a rib (91) to restrict the flow of water droplets formed on an outer surface of the conduit from passing through the flow outlet (63). The present application also relates to a steam system iron (10) having a steam iron head (30).

The present application relates to a steam iron head (2). The steam iron head (2) comprises a soleplate (6). The sole-plate (6) has a fabric contact surface (10), a steam inlet (21) through which steam flows to the steam iron head (2), and at least one steam vent (49). A steam passageway (19) is between the steam inlet (21) and the at least one steam vent (49). A fluid separator (25) is located between the steam passageway (19) and the at least one steam vent (49). The fluid separator (25) is configured to restrict the flow of condensation formed in the steam passageway (19) from passing through the at least one steam vent (49). The soleplate (6) has a soleplate panel (7) forming the fabric contact surface (10) and a base (15, 20) of the steam passageway (19). The soleplate panel (7) is configured to be primarily heated by steam flowing along the steam passageway (19) to the at least one steam vent (49). The present application also relates to a steam generator system iron having a steam iron head (2).
