Polymer fibers for reinforcement of cement-based composites
The present invention relates to a polymer composition for forming fibers for reinforcement of cement-based composites, polymer fibers made from the composition and methods of making the polymer fibers. The polymer composition comprises an olefin polymer and a bonding agent comprising vinyl alcohol based polymer, a pozzolanic material or a combination thereof.
FIBER COMPLEXES AND PROCESSES FOR PREPARING THEM
The present invention aims to provide a technique for preparing a complex fiber covered by silica and/or alumina at a high coverage ratio. According to the present invention, complex fibers comprising silica and/or alumina deposited on the surface of a fiber at a high coverage ratio can be prepared by synthesizing silica and/or alumina on the fiber while maintaining the pH of the reaction solution containing the fiber at 4.6 or less.
Metal detectable scouring pad
A detectable scouring pad is provided that is made with a sparse unwoven base polymer that defines the pad shape, an overcoating of cured thermoset resin loaded with a particulate on the base polymer, the particulate present in an amount to render the polymer detectable by X-ray detection or magnetometer detection. A process of detecting a scouring pad includes forming a fiber composed of a base polymer having a cross-section and a length, and distributing a particulate on the thermoplastic polymer in a thermoset resin matrix. The process further includes forming a sparse unwoven thermoplastic polymer from the fiber, and manufacturing the scouring pad from the sparse unwoven polymer by overcoating the base polymer with a particulate loaded thermoset resin. The scouring pad is passed through an X-ray detector or a magnetometer detector, and a signal is collected from the detector indicative of the presence of the scouring pad.
TARPAULIN HAVING IMPROVED FLEXIBILITY, ADHESION, AND SURFACE STRENGTH AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The disclosed tarpaulin comprises: a fabric layer, and a resin layer bonded to at least one surface of the fabric layer. The fabric layer comprises: high-density polyethylene (HDPE) multifilament yarns; polypropylene (PP) multifilament yams arranged to cross the HDPE multifilament yarns; and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) ground yarns binding the HDPE multifilament yarns and the PP multifilament yarns. The resin layer comprises PP and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
COMPOSITE FABRIC, METHOD FOR FORMING COMPOSITE FABRIC, AND USE OF A COMPOSITE MATTER FABRIC
A cloth article formed of a thermoplastic or thermosetting material containing particles of metal disbursed there through. More particularly, there is disclosed a fiber material formed of a thermoplastic or thermosetting material containing particles of metal dispersed intermittently within the fiber material during fiber formation, wherein the particles of metal are exposed at least in part on a surface of the fiber material, wherein the fiber material also includes carbon fiber nanotubes added to the fiber material, and wherein the fiber material is woven into a fabric and the fabric is formed into a cloth article.
Antimicrobial Nonwoven Cloth, Preparation Method Thereof and Mask with the Antimicrobial Nonwoven Cloth
The present invention discloses an antimicrobial nonwoven cloth, whose raw materials comprising the following components in weight ratio: 75100 parts of polypropylene, 1025 parts of sodium p-styrenesulfonate, 1020 parts of silane coupling agent, 0.151 part of polyhexamethylene biguanidine hydrochloride (PHMB), 0.050.4 part of zinc salt, 15 parts of bamboo charcoal fiber, and 0.010.1 part of nanometer fumed silica. Further, a method of preparing the antimicrobial nonwoven cloth and a mask with antimicrobial nonwoven cloth are disclosed, to prevent bacteria from spreading through the air and saliva.
Antipathogenic face mask
Described herein is an antiviral face mask and methods of use thereof to inactivate a virus in contact with the face mask. The face mask may include a fibrous material with silicon nitride powder impregnated therein and a layer surrounding the fibrous material. In some embodiments, silicon nitride is present in the fibrous material at a concentration of about 1 wt. % to about 15 wt. %.
ANTISTATIC DUSTPROOF FABRIC AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING USING SAME
A dustproof fabric which includes an antistatic dustproof fabric having excellent antistatic properties, a high air permeability and high-level dustproof properties is provided. The antistatic dustproof fabric includes two or more fiber layers. At least one of the two or more fiber layers is a first fiber layer which contains a nonionic antistatic agent; and at least one of the two or more fiber layers is a second fiber layer which is electrically charged.
COILED ACTUATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of generating a coiled actuator fiber that includes twisting a fiber to generate a twisted fiber; wrapping the twisted fiber around a core yarn or fiber to generate a coil in the twisted fiber, which generates a coiled twisted fiber; setting the coiled twisted fiber by heat or chemical treatment; and removing at least a portion of the core yarn or fiber to generate a coiled actuator fiber.
ROOFING UNDERLAYMENT
A roofing underlayment that resists water ingress around fasteners that are used to secure the underlayment to a substrate, such as a roof deck, is provided. The roofing underlayment includes a base layer, a coating layer applied to the base layer, and a water-swellable composition. An upper surface of the roofing underlayment may have a water contact angle of at least 120.
