DYEING METHOD AND DYEING APPARATUS

A dyeing method in which a transparent resin body having a surface applied with a dye is heated to fix the dye to the transparent resin body comprises a heating step of irradiating a laser beam having a wavelength less likely to be absorbed by the dye toward the transparent resin body applied with the dye on the surface while relatively scanning the laser beam with respect to the transparent resin body to heat a to-be-dyed region of the transparent resin body to fix the dye, wherein the laser beam is irradiation to heat by changing a laser beam irradiating condition with respect to a portion of the transparent resin body to be heated so that a heating temperature on the transparent resin body by irradiation of the laser beam is substantially equal throughout an entire area of the to-be-dyed region.

Thermal transfer printed polymeric phone case insert
09719207 · 2017-08-01 · ·

The present invention is a process of producing a decorated case insert suitable for use on a phone or tablet that applies a synthetic organic polymer coating onto a heat stabilized extruded polymeric substrate, and diffuses a set of disperse dyes in the form of an image into the polymer applied coating through the application of heat and pressure. The decorated insert is then cut to match an article or manufacture, such as a phone or tablet case, and affixed onto that case to form a decorated case.

A transfer sheet is provided, whereby a T-shirt or the like can be printed in few steps by means of an electronic image forming device that uses powdered toner, liquid ink, or the like containing a plastic resin. By means of mirror-image printing a picture pattern, which is an electronic image, onto a first sheet, aligning the first sheet and a second sheet, and heat-pressing, a coating is spread over a portion of the picture pattern printed onto the first sheet. The first sheet has a structure including a mold release layer, a resin layer, and a porous resin layer in a substrate, and the second sheet includes a mold release layer, a resin layer, an adhesive layer, and a colored porous resin layer in a substrate.
