Elevator, suspension body for the elevator, and manufacturing method for the suspension body

A suspension body for an elevator includes a core having a belt-like shape, and a covering layer covering at least a part of an outer periphery of the core. The core includes a load bearing layer. The load bearing layer is formed of an impregnation resin and a plurality of high-strength fibers. Further, the load bearing layer is divided into a plurality of segment layers arranged apart from each other in a thickness direction of the core. An intermediate layer made of a material different from that for the load bearing layer is interposed between the segment layers adjacent to each other in the thickness direction of the core.

Synthetic fiber rope

A synthetic fiber rope comprising:—a core, said core being a laid or braided synthetic fiber strand,—a polymer layer, said polymer layer covering said core,—a first layer, said first layer having at least six first synthetic fiber strands laid in a first direction surround said polymer layer, and—a second layer, said second layer having at least twelve second synthetic fiber strands laid in a second direction surround said first layer.

OPTICAL CABLE REINFORCEMENT WITH LOW ACIDITY

Embodiments of the disclosure relate to an optical fiber cable. The optical fiber cable includes a cable jacket having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The interior surface defines a central bore extending along a longitudinal axis of the optical fiber cable, and the exterior surface defines an outermost surface of the optical fiber cable. At least one subunit is disposed within the central bore. Each of the at least one subunit includes at least one optical fiber disposed within a buffer tube. A plurality of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) tensile yarns are positioned around the at least one subunit and extend along the longitudinal axis. A layer of a bedding compound is disposed between the plurality of UHMWPE tensile yarns and the cable jacket.
