FIBER MIX FOR YARN AND FABRICS
A yarn comprises a blend of two or more types of fibers. Fibers of viscose incorporating silica compose 50-85% by weight of the yarn. Fibers of modacrylic compose 15-50% by weight of the yarn. A composite yarn with a core being defined by the yarn is also provided. The composite yarn has a sheath surrounding the core.
Flame resistant fabrics for protection against molten metal splash
Flame resistant fabrics that provide protection against molten metal splash but that have improved comfort at a lower cost by predominantly locating the protective molten metal shedding fibers on the front face of the fabric. Concentrating the protective fibers predominantly on the front face of the fabric still provides good protection against molten metal adherence and allows for more comfortable and less expensive fibers to be used on the back face of the fabric positioned next to the wearer. In this way, overall protection of the fabric is maintained while improving comfort. Embodiments of such fabrics may also achieve NFPA 70E PPE Category 2 protection, for example 8 cal/cm.sup.2 arc rating whether ATPV or EBT.
FABRIC CONSTRUCTIONS WITH HOLLOW STRUCTURES
Techniques for producing an article having hollow structures are described herein. The disclosed techniques include weaving a plurality of yarns to form a woven fabric, wherein the plurality of yams each comprise a dissolvable core, and the dissolvable core comprises polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) having a water solubility; neutralizing an alkaline before drying the woven fabric to maintain the water solubility of the PVA; and washing the woven fabric or a garment made by the woven fabric to at least partially remove the dissolvable core.
Multilayer Textile Assembly for Use in Footwear
Here are described multilayer textile assemblies for use in footwear and methods of production thereof. Also described are footwears and boot liners comprising the multilayer textile assemblies.
Woven fiber structure presenting a satin weave on at least one of its outside faces
A woven fiber structure presenting over at least one of its outside faces a satin weave formed by interlinking a first set of yarns with a second set of yarns; wherein the first set of yarns is in the majority over the outside face, the first set of yarns being formed by a mixture of yarns having an S-twist and of yarns having a Z-twist.
Multi-effect woven fabric for energy harvesting and heat management
A multi-effect woven fabric for energy harvesting and heat management includes a combination of a predetermined number of yarns woven to each other in a repeating pattern. The yarns include a first yarn for absorbing, storing, and releasing heat energy through a phase change, a second yarn for converting heat energy from a wearer's skin, the first yarn, and a third yarn into far infrared radiation energy and radiating the far infrared radiation energy to other yarns and to the wearer's skin, the third yarn for absorbing moisture from the wearer's skin and/or ambient environment and generating heat energy through an exothermic process, and a fourth yarn with a hydrophobic property. The multi-effect woven fabric maintains a uniform temperature on the wearer's skin by a combination of heat energy generation, heat energy harvesting, and radiation of heat energy.
BEDDING AND BEDDING COVER SHEET
A bedding includes: a cushion layer which is formed with a filament three-dimensional bonded member and which is breathable; a breathable water-repellent layer which is provided on the upper side of the cushion layer and which is breathable and water-repellent; and a breathable water-retentive layer which is provided on the upper side of the breathable water-repellent layer and which is water-retentive and is breathable during water retention.
FLAME-RETARDANT AND WINDPROOF WADDING AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The invention provides a flame-retardant and windproof wadding, which is obtained by using a polymer containing an imide ring as a base material and interlacing and compounding it with at least one polyester fiber in a spinning stage; and a preparation method and special equipment thereof. The characteristics and advantages of the present invention are as follows: the flame-retardant and windproof wadding provided by the present invention uses polyimide fiber as the base material and various fibers; through the adjustment of the preparation method and special equipment, the improvement of the windproof, thermal insulation and flame-retardant effect of the wadding is finally realized; and the same time, various fibers in the wadding are highly mixed, forming a homogeneous, moderately cross-linked and fluffy mixed structure, which can greatly reduce the probability of falling off of the layered structure in the traditional process.
MATERIAL HAVING FLAME RESISTANT PROPERTIES
Flame resistant fiber, fabric, including woven, knit, and non-woven fabrics, and clothing incorporating such fibers are provided that include a blend of inherently flame resistant fiber, non-flame resistant fiber, and/or treated flame resistant fiber.
DUAL FUNCTIONAL SPUN + FILAMENT FIBER WOVEN TERRY COOLING TOWEL
Embodiments of the invention provide for terry fabric including a first side configured to exhibit absorbency capabilities and a second side configured to exhibit cooling capabilities. The first side can include a spun fiber loop including a plurality of pile warp yarn, and the second side can include a plurality of weft yarn and a plurality of ground warp yarn, wherein at least one of the plurality of weft yarn and the plurality of ground warp yarn includes synthetic filament yarn.
