The garment surface may be softened by application of a source of energy, wherein the source of energy comprises at least two sonotrodes mounted in a rotary drum. At least some of the softened garment surface is positioned into at least one opening of the plurality of openings.

The present invention relates to a prosthetic knit based on at least a first yarn of biocompatible polymer material defining first and second opposite and openwork faces, and on at least a second biocompatible and heat-fusible monofilament yarn, forming barbs that protrude outwards from at least said first face and are obtained by melting loops generated by said second yarn, the chart followed for the knitting of said first and second yarns on a warp knitting machine having three guide bars B1, B2, B3 being the following, according to the ISO 11676 standard: —Bar B1: 1.0/0.1//—Bar B2: 1.0/7.7/6.6/7.7//—Bar B3: 2.1/5.5/3.4/0.0// said second yarn following the chart of bar B3. The present invention also relates to a process for manufacturing such a knit.
KNIT FASTENER LOOP PRODUCTS
A method of making a loop fastener product features knitting, such as by circular knitting, a pile yarn and one or more ground yarns to form a stretchable knit fabric having loops of the pile yarn extending from a knit ground, with the ground yarns including polymers of differing melt temperatures. The knit fabric is then held in a desired state while the fabric is set by first applying sufficient heat to cause the lower melt temperature resin to flow into interstices of the fabric ground, and then allowing the fabric to cool. The cooled fabric ground is less stretchable in two orthogonal directions after setting than before setting, has a greater air permeability after setting than before setting, and has hook-engageable pile loops extending from bound interstices.
SURGICAL TEXTILE WITH BARBS AND LOOPS
The present invention relates to a surgical textile (1) comprising an arrangement of biocompatible yarns defining a first face (2) and a second face (3) of the textile, the second face opposite the first face, the textile being provided at least on an area of a surface of one of its faces with a plurality of barbs (4) showing substantially a first length L1, measured perpendicularly to that surface, characterised in that said area of said surface is further provided with a plurality of loops (5), said loops showing substantially a second length L2, measured perpendicularly to that surface, where L2 is greater than L1. The invention further relates to a process for manufacturing such a textile.
GRIPPING FABRIC COATED WITH A BIORESORBABLE IMPENETRABLE LAYER
The present invention relates to a prosthetic fabric (5) comprising an arrangement (2) of yarns that define at least first and second opposite faces (2a, 2b) for said fabric, said fabric comprising on at least said first face, one or more barbs (3) that protrude outwards relative to said first face, said fabric being covered, at least partly, on said second face with a microporous layer made of a bioresorbable material, said barbs being covered with a coating made of a water-soluble material. The invention also relates to a process for obtaining such a fabric and to prostheses obtained from such a fabric.
Loop fastener material for diaper and related method
A composite loop face fabric which incorporates a multi-bar stitch-bonded construction and related fastening system. A yarn system forms an arrangement of surface loops extending in stitched relation through a composite nonwoven stitching substrate incorporating at least one layer of a cellulose tissue disposed in surface covering relation to at least one layer of a nonwoven support material of polymeric fiber. Multiple layers of cellulose tissue and nonwoven support material may be used if desired.
TWO-SIDES GRIPPING KNIT
The invention relates to a knit having barbs protruding outwards from both faces obtained by knitting yarns of biocompatible material in guide-bars B2, B3 and B4 of a knitting machine, wherein the knitting patterns followed by guide-bars B2 and B3 involve at least two needles and produce an arrangement of yarns defining two faces of the knit, the knitting pattern followed by guide-bar B4 making stitches generating loops protruding outwards from each of the faces of the knit, guide-bar B4 being threaded with a hot-melt monofilament yarn, heat-setting the knit, forming barbs by cutting the loops via melting.
ARTICLE WITH INTEGRAL LOOPS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
A method of manufacturing an article may include loading a soluble bobbin thread into an embroidery machine and then driving a needle thread through a base sheet with a needle of the embroidery machine according to a programmed first pattern that provides a series of loops of the needle thread extending outward from a bobbin side of the base sheet. The method may further include bonding the needle thread to a needle side of the base sheet opposite from the bobbin side. A spacer layer may be disposed at the bobbin side of the base sheet, and may be removed after the needle thread is bonded to the base sheet. The loops may be loops of a hook-and-loop fastener or ball control features in various articles manufactured according to the method.
Attachable fabric assembly
A fabric assembly includes a knitted fabric and a filament. The knitted fabric is adapted to move between a stretched state extended along a direction of an applied force, and a relaxed state. The filament is disposed in the knitted fabric, and includes a plurality of loops longitudinally spaced apart from one-another. Each loop of the plurality of loops are adapted to project outward from the knitted fabric when in the stretched state, and substantially retract into the knitted fabric when in the relaxed state.
