Fibrous Structures
A fibrous structure. The structure may include a plurality of continuous or semi-continuous knuckles extending from portions of the surface of the fibrous structure in a parallel path, wherein the plurality of knuckles may be separated by adjacent continuous or semi-continuous pillows. Each knuckle may comprise a plurality of discrete pillows, the plurality of discrete pillows may be arranged in a spaced configuration along the path of each knuckle; alternatively, each pillow may comprise a plurality of discrete knuckles, the plurality of discrete knuckles may be arranged in a spaced configuration along the path of each pillow.
Device for applying a treatment substance
Device for applying a treatment substance (2.1, 2.2), in particular starch, on at least one side of a running product web (13), in particular a paper or board web, by means of a least one curtain coater (1.1, 1.2) having a discharge nozzle (14.1, 14.2) and at least one press nip (N) following the curtain coater (1.1, 1.2) for forming a hydraulic pressure when the product web (13) passes through a press nip (N) which is formed by one of two rotating press rolls and which causes the treatment substance (2.1, 2.2) to penetrate into the product web (13), wherein the at least one press nip (N) is equipped with at least one heated applicator roll (7, 8) as a press roll to increase the penetration of the treatment substance (2.1, 2.2) into the product web (13), and at least one of the two press rolls (8) is designed with a fixed or adjustable crown (16) for the adjustment of a line load in a range of 20 to 200 kN/m.
Tissue paper making machine and a method of operating a tissue paper making machine
A tissue machine (1) has a Yankee (3) and a shoe roll (4) that forms a nip with the Yankee (3). The nip has a maximum extension from an entry point (7) to an exit point (8). A flexible belt (9) forms an outer circumference of the roll (4). A fabric (10) carries a fibrous web (W) to the nip and passes through the nip with the web. The fabric (10) reaches the circumference of the roll (4) at a first contact point (11) and wraps the roll (4) from the first contact point to the nip. A mechanical support (12) inside the belt (9) supports the belt (9) between the first contact point (11) and the nip. The fabric (10) wraps the roll (4) from the first contact point (11) by more than 80°. The invention also relates to a method of operating the machine.
Method of Producing Kraft Paper and Kraft Paper
There is provided a method of producing a kraft paper having a density measured according to ISO 534:2011 of 630-870 kg/m.sup.3 and a strain at break measured according to SS-ISO 1924-3:2011 in the machine direction (MD) of 1.0-8.9%, comprising a step of calendering a paper web at a dry content of 55-79%, wherein the line load of the calendering step is 8-90 kN/m, such as 10-70 kN/m, such as 12-50 kN/m, such as 15-40 kN/m. Further a method of producing a porous sack paper as well as a new kraft paper qualities are also provided.
Fibrous structures
Fibrous structures, and more particularly sanitary tissue products containing fibrous structures having a surface exhibiting a three-dimensional (3D) pattern such that the fibrous structure and/or sanitary tissue product exhibits novel properties compared to known fibrous structures and/or sanitary tissue products, and methods for making same are provided.
CREPED FIBROUS STRUCTURES
Creped fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the creped fibrous structures may exhibit improved knuckle properties, such as Knuckle Roughness Ra, Knuckle Roughness Rq, and Knuckle Creping Frequency and methods for making same are provided, and/or may comprise elongate knuckles comprising discrete pillows and/or elongate pillows between first and second elongate knuckles.
Method and device for treating a fibrous material web in a long nip pressing unit
A method for treating a pulp web in a paper or tissue machine with an extended-nip press unit. This extended-nip press unit includes a shoe press roll with a revolving press belt and a backing roll, where the pulp web is dewatered in the extended press nip between the backing roll and the press belt and where the pulp web is carried on the revolving press belt of the press roll after the extended press nip to a transfer fabric that receives the pulp web. The transfer fabric is guided over a stationary transfer device in the transfer area. A corresponding device for treating the pulp web.
Machine for dewatering and drying a fibrous web
A machine for dewatering and drying a paper, cardboard or other fibrous web, to which machine a fibrous stock suspension is fed which is formed at least partially from waste paper. The machine includes at least two press nips which are formed in each case by two press rolls, wherein a fibrous web runs through first press nip with a water absorbing dewatering belt on both sides. The fibrous web then runs through a second press nip with at least one other dewatering belt and a smooth impermeable transfer belt on both sides. A transfer belt transfers the fibrous web after second press nip to a belt in a downstream machine unit, e.g. dryer group. The dryer group allows the fibrous web to be guided in a serpentine manner alternatively over heated dryer cylinders and vacuum equipped guide rolls.
A METHOD FOR DEWATERING A WEB COMPRISING MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE AND A FILM PRODUCED FROM THE DEWATERED WEB
The present invention relates to a method for dewatering a web comprising microfibrillated cellulose, wherein the method comprises the steps of: providing a suspension comprising between 50 weight-% to 100 weight-% of microfibrillated cellulose based on total dry weight, forming a fibrous web of said suspension on a support wherein said web has a dry content of 1-25% by weight, applying a dewatering felt into direct contact with the fibrous web, conducting said fibrous web, arranged between said dewatering felt and said substrate, through a pressing equipment. The invention further relates to a film produced from said method.
