Method for making tissue paper

A method of making tissue paper is provided, in which a fibrous web is formed in a forming section and transferred to a Yankee drying cylinder in a non-dewatering transfer nip formed between the Yankee drying cylinder and a shoe roll. The shoe roll has a shoe that is deformable such that it can adapt to a cylindrical outer surface of the Yankee drying cylinder, and a rotatable flexible jacket arranged to run in a loop around the shoe. A structured carrier fabric runs around the shoe roll and has land areas and void areas facing the fibrous web. The length of the transfer nip is in the range of 30 mm -100 mm and the linear load in the transfer nip is in the range of 35 kN/m-120 kN/m. The peak pressure in the transfer nip lies in the range 2 MPa-8 MPa.

Differential pillow height fibrous structures

Fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the fibrous structures contain two or more pillows that exhibit differential pillow height and methods for making same are provided.

Creped fibrous structures

Creped fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the creped fibrous structures exhibit improved knuckle properties, such as Knuckle Roughness Ra, Knuckle Roughness Rq, and Knuckle Creping Frequency and methods for making same are provided.

PRESS COVER AND USE THEREOF

A press cover or jacket includes at least one first polymer layer. The polymer layer contains or has been produced from a polyurethane, and the polyurethane has been formed from a prepolymer and a crosslinker. The prepolymer is a reaction product of naphthalene 1,5-diisocyanate or phenylene 1,4-diisocyanate and at least one polyol selected from a polycarbonate polyol, a polytetramethylene ether glycol, polyether polycarbonate polyol or mixtures thereof. A press using the press cover is also provided.

The invention relates to a press for a machine for producing a fibrous material web, including at least one press nip formed between a press roller and a counter press roller of the press for guiding through the fibrous material web in a dehydrating manner, and two band shaped covers, which are each guided by multiple guide rollers in continuous circulation, so as to run together through the press nip, so that the fibrous material web is guided through sandwiched between said covers, and then separated again at a separation point, in order to continue guiding the fibrous material web on the one cover and separate it from the other cover. One guide roller of the guide rollers arranged at the separation point is a suctioned guide roller of the one cover, to hold the fibrous material web on the one cover at the separation position.

A machine for the production of a fibrous web, with a forming region, including a forming roll and a permeable inner belt which at least partially wraps around the forming roll together with an outer belt for formation of the fibrous web. A press device is immediately downstream from the forming region for additional dewatering of the fibrous web in a press nip and with a downstream drying cylinder. The fibrous web is carried supported on the inner belt from the forming region until the transfer to the heated surface of drying cylinder takes place. The inner belt is textured in order to provide texture to fibrous web and the transfer roll is a shoe roll in order to provide an extended transfer nip.
