Shock pad for synthetic turf and methods for making same

Disclosed are methods for making shock absorbing pads utilizing reclaimed artificial turf and reclaimed carpet materials. It is demonstrated that the artificial turf systems comprising inventive pads exhibit improved Head Impact Criteria (HIC) and cradle-to-cradle score.

ABSORBENT MATERIAL ON A NONWOVEN FABRIC BASIS
20210170439 · 2021-06-10 ·

The invention relates to an absorbent material on a nonwoven fabric basis, consisting of a fibrous gauze preferably having a longitudinally oriented initial fiber position, which is solidified by mesh formation while obtaining a three-dimensional fiber order. Furthermore, a fiber pile layer having a mainly vertical fiber orientation is formed, wherein the fiber pile layer has largely preponderantly a loop shape in a manner avoiding fiber tear-out. The material is in particular suitable for being used as a paint roller covering or dye-feeding roller, i.e. for applying liquid substances onto surface structures.

Surgical swab composed of non-woven fabric and textile polymer net

The present application describes a surgical swab composed of two or more outer layers made of non-woven fabric and an inner layer of a textile polymer net, with or without x-ray detectable thread, which can be obtained, for example, by a process of knitting or weaving. The textile net can present in its composition materials with high elasticity such as elastane or alternatively combinations of materials that allow shrinking after heat treatment such as the polyamide or polyamide and polyester or even polyamide and cotton. In the present application, it is also described the production process of this surgical swab which, after the junction and overlapping of the non-woven fabric layers and the inner layer of textile polymer net, comprises ultrasound welding of the layers. The surgical swabs of this application present improved performance features and the production process involved is simple, economical and automated.
