Textile printing

Herein is described a method of printing on a textile substrate. The method may comprise: a. applying a primer comprising a cross-linkable primer resin onto a surface of the textile substrate to form a primer layer; b. electrophotographically printing onto the primer layer an electrostatic ink composition comprising a cross-linkable thermoplastic resin to form a printed layer; c. applying a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linking agent to the printed layer, wherein i. the cross-linking agent penetrates into at least the electrostatic ink composition and the primer layer; and/or ii. the cross-linking agent is a non-isocyanate agent; and d. activating the cross-linking agent. Printed textiles are also described.

FIXER COMPOSITION

A fixer composition includes a polyamine; a phosphate ester surfactant; a co-solvent; and a balance of water. The polyamine is selected from the group consisting of an azetidinium-containing polyamine, an epoxide-containing polyamine, and combinations thereof. The co-solvent contains two hydroxyl groups and an aliphatic chain between the two hydroxyl groups, the aliphatic chain containing three carbon atoms. The fixer composition may be used in combination with an inkjet ink and may be included in a fluid set and/or a textile printing kit.

Method for producing printed matter

A method for producing printed matter is disclosed that includes applying a pretreatment liquid containing a resin and a pretreatment liquid containing a coagulant to a substrate, and after the applying of these pretreatment liquids, applying an aqueous inkjet ink to the substrate using an inkjet system.

Fixer fluids

A fixer fluid can include a fixer vehicle with water, an NH-type or N-alkylated lactam co-solvent, and a phosphate ester surfactant. The fixer fluid can further include from 0.5 wt % to 12 wt % an azetidinium-containing polyamine polymer dispersed in the fixer vehicle.

FLUID SETS

A fluid set can include an ink composition including an ink vehicle, pigment, and from 2 wt % to 15 wt % polyurethane binder. The fluid set can also include a fixer fluid including a fixer vehicle, and from 0.5 wt % to 12 wt % of a cationic fixing agent including an azetidinium-containing polyamine.

DECORATED NATURAL LEATHER

A manufacturing method of decorated natural leather including the steps of: attaching a crusted leather (45,83) with its corium side by an adhesive (46) to a temporary carrier (47,80); inkjet printing on the crusted leather (45,83) on its grain side with one or more pigmented inkjet inks a decorative image containing a plurality of sub-images (85); cutting decorated leather pieces (87a to 87c) from the inkjet printed crusted leather; wherein the temporary carrier (45,83) includes a plurality of identifiers on its surface; wherein the decorated leather pieces (87a to 87c) correspond to sub-images of the decorative image (85); and wherein each decorated leather piece (87a to 87c) is attached via the corium side to part of the temporary carrier (47,80) including one or more identifiers (81).

Treatment agent and ink set

There is provided a treatment agent applicable to a recording surface of a recording medium which is recording paper or fabric. The treatment agent contains: a non-cationic sizing agent; and at least one cationic substance which is selected from the group consisting of: a cationic polymer capable of forming a flexible film in a case that the cationic polymer is dried, a cationic surfactant, a polyvalent metal salt and a polyvalent metal ion.

FLUID SETS

A fluid set can include a fixer fluid including a fixer vehicle and from 0.5 wt % to 12 wt % of a cationic fixing agent comprising an azetidinium-containing polyamine, a cyan ink composition including a cyan pigment, a magenta ink composition including a magenta pigment, and a yellow ink composition including a yellow pigment. The cyan ink composition, the magenta ink composition, and the yellow ink composition independently include an ink vehicle and from 2 wt % to 15 wt % crosslinkable polymeric binder, and at 10 μm thick, the cyan ink composition, the magenta ink composition, and the yellow ink composition independently exhibit from 40% to 100% energy absorbed when exposed to a common narrow band of UV energy having a peak emission from 310 nm to 440 nm.

PROCESS FOR TREATING OF THREADS

The present invention provides a rapid and highly efficient process for treating textile threads, especially dyeing, and treated threads obtained thereby of textile threads.

PROCESSES AND INSTALLATIONS FOR DYEING SYNTHETIC FIBERS AND DYED FIBERS AND FABRICS CONTAINING SAID DYED FIBERS

A method for dyeing, such as vat dyeing, or coating synthetic fibers, such as polyester fibers and/or polyamide fibers, or yarns or fabrics including these fibers can include providing a powdered dye or a powdered precursor dye (powdered leuko dye), or providing an aqueous dye formulation or an aqueous precursor dye formulation (an alkaline aqueous leuko dye formulation).
