High performance fibres composite sheet
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite sheet comprising high performance polyethylene fibres and a polymeric resin comprising the steps of assembling HPPE fibres to a sheet, applying an aqueous suspension of a polymeric resin to the HPPE fibres, partially drying the aqueous suspension, optionally applying a temperature and/or a pressure treatment to the composite sheet wherein the polymeric resin is a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and/or propylene. The invention further relates to composite sheets obtainable by said method and articles comprising the composite sheet such as helmets, radomes or a tarpaulins.
TEXTILE PRINTING
A textile printing system can include an ink composition and a fabric substrate. The ink composition can include water, organic co-solvent, from 0.5 wt % to 10 wt % pigment, wherein the pigment has a dispersant associated with a surface thereof, and from 0.5 wt % to 20 wt % latex particles including styrene (meth)acrylic polymer having an acid number from 0 mg KOH/g to 60 mg KOH/g and a glass transition temperature from −30° C. to 50° C. The latex particles are uncrosslinked.
BLACK INK COMPOSITION FOR INKJET PRINTING, AND METHOD FOR PRINTING ON HYDROPHOBIC FIBERS
A black ink composition for inkjet printing that contains a water-soluble organic solvent, a resin emulsion, a dispersing agent, and at least four types of sublimation dyes. At least three of the sublimation dye types are C.I. disperse yellow, C.I. disperse red, and C.I. disperse blue, and at least one of the sublimation dye types has a maximum absorption wavelength in the wavelength band of 640 nm to less than 680 nm as measured from a visible spectral absorption of a solution obtained by dissolving the dye in acetone. An ink set for inkjet printing that includes the black ink composition for inkjet printing, and a method for printing on hydrophobic fibers that uses the composition and the ink set.
Textile printing
Herein is described a method of printing on a textile substrate. The method may comprise: a. applying a primer comprising a cross-linkable primer resin onto a surface of the textile substrate to form a primer layer; b. electrophotographically printing onto the primer layer an electrostatic ink composition comprising a cross-linkable thermoplastic resin to form a printed layer; c. applying a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linking agent to the printed layer, wherein i. the cross-linking agent penetrates into at least the electrostatic ink composition and the primer layer; and/or ii. the cross-linking agent is a non-isocyanate agent; and d. activating the cross-linking agent. Printed textiles are also described.
Aqueous pigment dispersion
The present invention relates to a pigment water dispersion containing pigment-containing water-insoluble crosslinked polymer A particles, a water-soluble basic compound and water, in which a water-insoluble crosslinked polymer A constituting the particles has a carboxy group and a crosslinked structure containing an ester group derived from a water-insoluble crosslinking agent, a saponification value of the water-insoluble crosslinked polymer A is from 170 to 300 mgKOH/g, and the water-soluble basic compound contains a water-soluble amine compound; a process for producing the pigment water dispersion; a water-based ink for ink-jet printing which contains the pigment water dispersion; and an ink-jet printing method using the water-based ink.
Pretreatment for application onto finished cotton fabric
Disclosed is a process for printing on cotton fabric comprising (1) contacting cotton fabric with an aqueous solution comprising (A) 40% to 70% by weight of at least one multivalent cationic salt; (B) optionally 0.1% to 5% by weight of a blocked isocyanate crosslinking agent, and (C) 3% to 40% by weight of a waterborne resin, all percentages based on the weight of the aqueous solution; (2) drying the cotton fabric to remove the water from the cotton fabric; and (3) digitally printing the pretreated and coated cotton fabric with a water-based textile ink.
Ink emulsion composition and water-based ink
Disclosed is an ink emulsion composition that, when used as an ink composition, retains a high concentration of a colorant and exhibits good re-dispersibility after drying, and that causes no change in the physical properties of the ink when stored for a long period of time. The ink emulsion composition contains: (A) a dye and/or a pigment; (B) a styrene-(meth)acrylic copolymer; and (C) a compound in an amount of more than 0.18 mass %, the compound (C) being represented by formula (1): ##STR00001## where t represents 1 to 5.
INK COMPOSITION FOR INKJET TEXTILE PRINTING AND TEXTILE PRINTING METHOD FOR HYDROPHOBIC FIBER
An ink composition for inkjet printing, the ink composition containing a linear diol compound which has 4 or more carbon atoms and has hydroxide groups on both ends of the molecular structure thereof, a dispersing dye and a dispersant; and a textile printing method for a hydrophobic fiber by using the ink composition for inkjet printing.
Transfer-printing ink and transfer-printing apparatus
A transfer-printing ink contains a pigment and a fixing resin. The mass ratio of the pigment to the fixing resin is 1:1 to 1:5, and the ink has a viscosity of 3 mPas to 10 mPas at 23 C. The ink is ejected onto a transfer paper base by an ink-jet recording device when transfer paper is prepared. The ink is then transferred from the transfer paper to cloth as a result of the transfer paper, with the cloth laid over it, being heated.
