ENHANCEMENT OF VACCINE EFFICACY AND ANTIBIOTIC EFFICACY
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for modulating a macrolide antimicrobial, modulating an immune function, increasing the effectiveness of an antibiotic, and/or increasing the number and effectiveness of alveolar macrophages in treating a vertebrate animal. The method comprises feeding to the animal a feed composition comprising (1, 3), (1, 6), beta-glucans and optionally mannans to increase the number of alveolar macrophage cells, and administering a macrolide antibiotic to the animal.

Probiotic and prebiotic compositions, and methods of use thereof for modulation of the microbiome
Probiotic compositions containing non-pathogenic microbial entities, e.g., bacterial entities, are described herein. The probiotic compositions may optionally contain or be used in conjunction with one or more prebiotics. Uses of the probiotic compositions to treat or prevent disorders of the local or systemic microbiome in a subject are also provided.

Hot melt extrusion for pharmaceutical vaginal film products
Hot melt extrusion is disclosed as a process for forming vaginal drug delivery films. The methods involve extruding a composition comprising one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients and one or more polymer carriers at an elevated temperature through a die to thereby provide the film. Films prepared by hot melt extrusion are also described.
