The polymer layer contains or has been produced from a polyurethane, and the polyurethane has been formed from a prepolymer and a crosslinker. The prepolymer is a reaction product of naphthalene 1,5-diisocyanate or phenylene 1,4-diisocyanate and at least one polyol selected from a polycarbonate polyol, a polytetramethylene ether glycol, polyether polycarbonate polyol or mixtures thereof. A press using the press cover is also provided.
PRESS COVER, SHOE PRESS AND USE OF A PRESS COVER
A press cover includes at least one polymer layer. The polymer layer contains or has been produced from a polyurethane. The polyurethane has been formed from a prepolymer and a crosslinker, and the prepolymer is a reaction product of phenylene 1,4-diisocyanate and at least one polyol containing caprolactone and carbonate, such as polycaprolactone polycarbonate polyol. A press roll, a shoe press and a method of using a press cover are also provided.
Modified polyurethane belt for a paper, board, pulp or tissue machine and process of producing thereof
A process produces a body of a belt (10) for a paper, board, pulp or tissue machine, the body having an inner surface and an outer surface. The process includes producing a modified polyurethane by adding a polydialkylsiloxane having at least one functional group to a manufacturing process of a polyurethane in order to obtain the modified polyurethane, which modified polyurethane is a polyurethane matrix having a covalent bond with the polydialkylsiloxane, and forming the body of the belt, wherein the body is the modified polyurethane. The belt (10) is for a paper, board, pulp, or tissue machine, or for a shoe press and a sleeve roll.
Papermaking device and method for producing papermaking device
A papermaking device may have excellent strength and suppressed unevenness in strength between its parts. Such a papermaking device may be used in papermaking machine and may include at least one resin layer comprising polyurethane resin. The polyurethane resin may be obtained by reacting a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group with a curing agent having an active hydrogen group. The urethane prepolymer may be obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate compound including 2,4-tolylene-diisocyanate and/or 2,6-tolylene-diisocyanate with a polyol compound including one or more polyether polycarbonate diol(s).
Papermaking device and method for producing papermaking device
Provided are a papermaking device having an excellent strength in which the unevenness in strength between its parts is suppressed, and a method for producing the papermaking device. Also provided is a papermaking device for use in papermaking machine, the papermaking device comprising at least one resin layer comprising a polyurethane resin, wherein the polyurethane resin comprises as a component a polyether polycarbonate diol comprising one or more unit(s) A expressed by the following formula (1). ##STR00001##
PRESS COVER WITH REINFORCING THREADS FORMED AS TWISTED YARNS, SHOE PRESS AND METHOD OF PROCESSING A FIBROUS MATERIAL WEB
A press cover has at least one polymer layer in which a reinforcing structure is embedded. The reinforcing structure is formed as a scrim with a radially inner layer of longitudinal threads radially outer layer of at least one circumferential thread. The threads are reinforcing threads formed with fibers or fiber bundles twisted in a first direction of rotation and at a first rate of rotation to form a roving. A number of rovings are twisted together in the opposite direction and at a second, higher rate of rotation. In the radial direction of the press cover, the longitudinal threads and the circumferential thread(s) are disposed to touch one another. There is also described a press roll and a shoe press with such a press cover for processing a web of fibrous material.
SHOE PRESS ROLL COVER
A shoe press roll cover for a machine for producing and/or finishing a fibrous web, such as a paper, card or tissue web, is formed of a matrix material composed of polyurethane, formed essentially from 4,4-MDI as isocyanate, at least one polyol and at least one crosslinker. The polyurethane matrix material is biobased to an extent of at least 20% by weight. The polyol and the crosslinker are selected from one of several combinations: a) biobased PTMEG as polyol and a mixture of MCDEA and PTMEG as crosslinker; b) polycarbonate as polyol and a mixture of MCDEA and biobased polycarbonate polyol as crosslinker; c) a mixture of biobased polycarbonate polyol and PTMEG as polyol and 1,4-BDO as crosslinker; d) PTMEG as polyol and a mixture of PTMEG and MCDEA as crosslinker, with the 4,4-MDI in the isocyanate and the PTMEG in the polyol being biobased.
PRESS BELT, AN ARRANGEMENT IN A LONG NIP AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PRESS BELT
The invention relates to a press belt for a shoe press. A press belt (5) is an endless loop made of elastomeric material and its outer surface (11) is provided with several grooves (13) to remove water. On the outer surface (11) of the press belt, there is at least one section where the depths (GD) of adjacent drain grooves, from the outer surface, change constantly. The invention also relates to an arrangement in a long nip and to a method of manufacturing a press belt.
