A preparation method of tea residue fiber raw materials includes steps of (1) sun-drying tea residues, crushing the sun dried tea residues, and treating them with concentrated hydrochloric acid and a strong base in succession; (2) extracting water from the treated tea residues to obtain tea polyphenols and pulp respectively, cooking the pulp, and then pressing and dehydrating it to obtain coarse pulp; (3) sequentially grinding and sieving the pulp, and beating it; and (4) adding -cyclodextrin, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, and reinforced starch after the beating, adjusting the pH to 7-8, diluting, adding the tea polyphenols obtained in the second step, stirring uniformly, pressing and dehydrating, and drying to obtain the tea residue fiber raw material.

In at least one specific embodiment, a method for making a composite product can include contacting a plurality of cellulosic sheets with a resin composition that includes a phenolic resin and a monosaccharide. The resin composition can include about 0.5 wt % to about 30 wt % of the monosaccharide, based on a combined weight of the phenolic resin and the monosaccharide. The method can also include at least partially curing the resin composition to produce a composite product.

A method for manufacturing decorative laminates includes the steps of a) impregnating a paper substrate with a thermosetting resin by submersion of the paper substrate in a bath of thermosetting resin; b) applying on the thermosetting resin impregnated paper substrate an ink acceptance layer containing an inorganic pigment P and a polymeric binder B having a weight ratio P/B of inorganic pigment to polymeric binder of larger than 1.5; c) jetting on the ink acceptance layer a colour pattern with one or more aqueous pigmented inkjet inks and/or organic solvent based pigmented inkjet inks containing a colour pigment C; and d) heat pressing the thermosetting paper into a decorative laminate, wherein the weight ratio P/C of the inorganic pigment of the ink acceptance layer to the jetted colour pigment in the colour pattern is larger than 4.0.

Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to phenolic resin compositions, methods for preparing the same, and uses thereof. In an embodiment, a resin composition is provided. The resin composition includes a wax emulsion and a polymer composition that includes an alkylphenol-phenol-aldehyde polymer, the alkylphenol-phenol-aldehyde polymer including: alkylphenol monomer units; and phenol compound co-monomer units. In another embodiment is provided an article of manufacture that includes a lignocellulosic substrate, and a resin composition that includes an alkylphenol-phenol-aldehyde polymer, a polyhydric alcohol, and a wax emulsion.

The present invention provides conductive paper with excellent electrical conductivity, strength, and heat resistance, and a method for producing the same, the conductive paper including: a paper substrate containing at least a carbon fiber and a fibrillated fiber, and in which an amount of the fibrillated fiber is from 10 to 120% by mass with respect to the carbon fiber; and a cured product of a thermosetting resin at least partially impregnated into the paper substrate; and the method for producing conductive paper, the method including the steps of: preparing a slurry containing at least a carbon fiber and a fibrillated fiber, and in which an amount of the fibrillated fiber is from 10 to 120% by mass with respect to the carbon fiber; obtaining a paper substrate by subjecting the slurry to a papermaking process; impregnating the paper substrate with a thermosetting resin; and heating the paper substrate impregnated with the thermosetting resin to cure the thermosetting resin.
