Method for Unloading, Transporting and Installing a Railway Track

The invention relates to a method for unloading, transporting and installing a railway track, which does not require the rail-carrying train to be brought closer after each cycle of unloading continuous welded rail (CWR), the train remaining parked at the end of the track already laid until all the CWR has been completely unloaded. According to the invention, the method consists of: fastening two rails to a crane of an unloading wagon and moving same through windows along the wagon, facilitating the descent thereof to the track; transferring the rails to a machine for pulling and positioning which moves along, leaving the rails supported on transport elements that move along the track already laid; transferring the rails from the track already laid to a section of sleepers; and moving the rails to their final position, using sliding elements placed on the sleepers.

Method for renewal of a track

A method for renewal of a track includes picking up a plurality of old track panels using a crane jib projecting over the track from a train end of a work train and depositing the old track panels on the work train, thus creating a renewal gap delimited by a gap beginning and a gap end. New ballast is introduced with the aid of the crane jib into the gap end of the renewal gap. Subsequently, a new track panel pre-deposited on the work train is placed by the crane jib on the graded ballast of the gap end. A work train for renewal of a track is also provided.

Construction methods and systems for grade separation structures

A cut and cover method of constructing grade separation structures includes partially burying precast substructure elements with associated trench boxes under live traffic. Once the precast substructure elements are buried, the substructure is completed and the bridge span is installed. Other methods include installing precast superstructure elements with a formwork system and forming a bridge substructure and excavating underneath the superstructure once the superstructure is formed.

Method for track renewal

In a method for renewing a track (2) and cleaning a ballast bed (3), the old track (2) is lifted off the ballast bed in sections as a track panel (15), transported forward in a working direction (4) and deposited on track panel wagons (8). The exposed ballast bed (3), forming a renewal gap (17), is cleaned by a cleaning machine (11), spoil (32) accruing in the process is transported forward underneath the track panels (15) deposited on the track panel wagons (8), and stored in hopper cars (10). New rails (29), pre-deposited underneath new sleepers (27) positioned on sleeper wagons (14), are pulled forward into the renewal gap (17) by the cleaning machine (11) and deposited on the cleaned ballast bed (3). The new sleepers (27) are laid down on the cleaned ballast bed and connected to the new rails (29) lifted off the ballast bed (3).
