Tie Plate Centering and Inserting Machine
A tie plate inserter assembly on a track mounted machine is provided that is configured to ensure appropriate location of a tie plate and a tie relative to a rail of a railway. The assembly includes a frame supported, at least indirectly, on a chassis of the machine and having a tie plate clamp assembly that includes a self-centering mechanism that centers the tie plate relative to a longitudinal centerline the tie. The tie plate clamp assembly has a first clamp plate and a second clamp plate configured to clamp together to hold the tie plate. The tie clamp assembly also has first and second clamp plates configured to clamp together to hold the tie in place. The assembly may additionally include a tie clamp assembly that can be actuated to center the tie relative to a reference point on the frame.
Rail plate dropping apparatus
A rail plate dropping apparatus is provided, including a plate magazine having an upper end and a lower end and constructed and arranged for retaining at least one rail tie plate, a locating portion connected at the upper end and constructed and arranged for reciprocally positioning the magazine between a raised, travel position and a lowered work position, and an ejector mounted in operational relationship relative to the lower end of the magazine and configured for ejecting the plates sequentially from the magazine.

SINGLE-PLANE MULTI-FUNCTIONAL RAILWAY COMPONENT HANDLING SYSTEM
Systems, methods, and non-transitory, machine-readable media for extracting railway fasteners and adjusting railway anchors are disclosed. A tie plate manipulator may be slidably coupled with a frame assembly and may include tie plate tools in an opposing arrangement and slidably coupled with a support framework. A fastener extractor may include fastener-extracting arms and pivot joints pivotably coupling the fastener-extracting arms with a subassembly. The fastener extractor may be slidably coupled with the frame assembly so that at least part of the fastener extractor is disposed over the tie plate manipulator. The fastener extractor may be coupled with the tie plate manipulator at least in part with a cylinder system. Each fastener-extracting arm may be adjustable to selectively engage and extract a railway fastener. The tie plate manipulator may be operable to engage and adjust a tie plate on the railway tie with the pair of tie plate tools.

RAIL CLIP TOOL
A tool for removing rail clips of the kind which are applied transversely to the rail, which includes a pair of levers connected at a pivot point and being adapted to move toward or away from each other. Each lever has at its lower end, a rail clip engagement face which engage opposed sides of a rail clip seating transversely on the rail base. Each clip engagement face includes a clamp plate adapted to abut one side of the toes of the rail clip, an engagement pin adapted to engage one side of the rear portion of said rail clip, and a reaction pivot rear edge adapted to pivot about a point behind said rail clip. This arrangement allows the tool to be opened by moving the levers away from each other, placing the engagement faces on either side of the clip and then bringing the levers together so that the clamp plates compress the toes of the clip together so that the clip can be removed rearwardly from the rail clip support shoulder. When the toes are compressed the engagement pin abuts the rear curved portion of the rail clip and by pulling the levers away from the rail about the rear pivot base edge the rail clip is withdrawn from the base of the rail into the rail clip support shoulder.

DEVICE FOR APPLYING RAILROAD ANCHORS
A device for re-securing or applying railroad anchors for improving the efficiency of a railroad worker. The disclosure provides a means for clearing railroad ballast and driving an anchor spike, in a single combined tool. The disclosure describes a device for applying railroad anchors including a hammer head and a handle. The device for applying railroad anchors includes a hammer head having a first end and a second end. The first end is formed as a sledge hammer for driving railroad anchors. The second end is formed as a railroad spike maul shape for clearing ballast.
