Life Extension and Quality of Life Improvement for Humans and Other Mammals
The present invention discloses a system and method for increasing the lifespan and quality of life of human beings and other mammals. This discloses methods for preparing and delivering various health and longevity compositions. The compositions of the present invention are selected and designed for the purpose of efficiently delivering health and longevity enhancing therapies through oral supplementation, misting, nasal spray, suppository, etc. An existing compound known to have capacity for life extending potential, rapamycin, is combined with a non-toxic therapeutic anabolic hormone, e.g., DHEA, and cannabidiol (CBD) to enable absorption and effect. These three compounds work together to dramatically improve both the quality of life in aging humans and other mammals as well as extending the life of humans potentially up to 120 healthy years. One preferred embodiment provides a method for continuous low dose supplementation, e.g., incorporated in or with a daily meal. This invention not only resolves the issue of anti-aging of higher life forms, without toxicity, but provides for an improved method for absorption.
Absorbable iron-based alloy implanted medical device
An absorbable implantable medical device made of iron-based alloy, including a base made of iron-based alloy and a complex, wherein the complex includes a complexing agent. In a physiological solution, the base made of iron-based alloy can react with the complexing agent to generate a water-soluble iron complex having solubility in the physiological solution of no less than 10 mg/L. A corrosion product generated after the absorbable implantable medical device made of iron-based alloy is implanted in a human body can be quickly metabolized/absorbed by the body.
Treatment method for colon cancer
The invention pertains to a method for treating a neoplasm, such as colorectal cancer, using hollow silica spheres (“HSS”). It also is directed to a method for making uncalcined HSS, calcined HSS from which phenyl groups have been removed, and HSS incorporating particles of Fe.sub.3O.sub.4, as well as compositions containing HSS.

Heat Substrate and/or Image Enhancement Compositions and Enhanced Tissue Ablation Methods
Ferritin or iron-based image enhancement agents identify target tissue for treatment or ablation and are heated by microwave absorption. Microwave heat substrates enhance microwave hyperthermal ablation treatment, and may be percutaneously delivered and imaged by x-ray CT during placement of the microwave treatment antenna, allowing more precise positioning and more complete ablation of a tumor site. One method of treating a target tissue uses image-guided delivery of a heat substrate with a reverse-phase change polymer, and may apply energy to fix a mass of the material in the tissue. The fixed polymer may increase hyperthermia, form a thermal boundary, or blockade a vessel or passage so as to reduce or prevent undesired conductive cooling by contiguous tissue, or may deliver a localized treatment drug at the site, upon heating or as it degrades over time.

METHODS FOR INCREASING GROWTH OF BENEFICIAL BACTERIA IN THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT
Disclosed are nutritional compositions including 2′-fucosyllactose (2′-FL) in combination with lutein and RRR-alpha-tocopherol. The nutritional compositions are useful for improving at least one of gut function, health, and development in an individual. In certain embodiments, the nutritional compositions can improve growth or maturation of the gut, as well as promote a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract thereby treating and/or preventing formula intolerance or other gastrointestinal diseases and/or disorders resulting from suboptimal gastrointestinal flora population/balance.
