Modular cell and matrix for supporting a load bearing feature
A modular cell that may be used with other cells to form a matrix under a load bearing feature, the cell being a single piece molding that supports a compressive load placed thereon, the molding including a void space defined within: a skirt shaped support member defining a substantially planar surface with an opening therein; and at least one leg integral to and extending from the support member. The cell further includes at least one separate linking member that releasably links together multiple cells to form a matrix of cells. The cells may be linked together vertically and/or horizontally. The cell and matrix include greater load bearing capacity and rigidity through aligned legs to carry the weight as well as interlinking members that act to share the load among the various cells. The design also requires less material hence is cheaper to produce. The void space is also easily accessed hence allowing for easy access, filling and laying of utility lines where needed.
SUPPORT UNIT FOR FORMING A TEMPORARY ROADWAY
A support unit (10) is connectable together with similar such units to form a temporary roadway. A plurality of upwardly extending and tapering recesses (18) are provided on a lower surface (20) of the support unit (10) to provide engagement with the ground. Locking arrangements and respective flanges and corresponding recesses are provided on the sides of the support units (10), for interconnecting adjacent such units (10).
MODULAR FOUNDATION SYSTEM FOR PLATFORM ASSEMBLIES
Modular foundation systems for assembling floating platform assemblies. Modular foundation systems comprise a base mat sized to engage retaining members within a grooves formed in the upper surface of the base mat. Using a combination of a number of base mats and retaining members, a platform assembly of virtually any desired size and shape can be readily assembled.
Tactile warning panel apparatus with smart technology
Multipurpose tactile warning panels for use in pedestrian walkways, and in particular tactile warning panels that are designed and built with multifunction/multipurpose capabilities that serve the visually impaired and enable the deployment of smart city technology by integrating tactile warning systems and subsurface enclosures that can withstand pressures of five (5) tons up to and exceeding sixty (60) tons and incorporate small cells, beacons, sensors, Fog Computing, electric energy generation, rechargeable power supplies, wireless M2M communication and a plethora of other smart city technologies.
POLYMER PANELS FOR WALKWAY AND PAVING
Embodiments provide a polymeric walkway for mitigating surface water runoff and a method for constructing the same. A polymeric walkway module is secured to a pre-conditioned ground. The polymeric walkway module includes an upper panel, a lower panel, and a plurality of spacers. The upper panel includes a plurality of perforations. The plurality of spacers is positioned between the upper panel and the lower panel defining a hollow space. Surface water permeates through the plurality of perforations and occupies the hollow space during the surface water runoff.
DECK ASSEMBLY HAVING EASY OF INSTALLATION
A deck assembly includes a plurality of deck panels each having fixing grooves recessed from both side surfaces thereof, a frame part including a pair of longitudinal frames symmetrically disposed to be spaced apart from each other and a plurality of transverse frames spaced apart from each other and vertically coupled between the pair of longitudinal frames and in which a plurality of insertion holes pass therethrough in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction thereof, a clip module part including a root cap inserted and coupled to each of the insertion holes and a quick clip fixed inside the root cap and having an upper end having a portion exposed to an upper side of the root cap to fix the deck panel disposed on the frame part, and a plurality of support parts supporting the frame part while avoiding the insertion holes.
MULTILAYER PRECAST PAVED ROAD
Provided is a multilayer precast paved road that enables simple coupling between upper pavement panels and lower pavement panels using joint members and enables easy and quick assembly and removal without requiring a large number of processes. A multilayer precast paved road including a plurality of precast lower pavement panels laid on a road panel and a plurality of precast upper pavement panels laid on upper surfaces of the lower pavement panels is configured such that the lower pavement panels 3 and the upper pavement panels are arranged in a zigzag manner, and joint members are provided to lie between upper and lower joining surfaces of the lower pavement panels and the upper pavement panels, and the lower pavement panels and the upper pavement panels are coupled to each other through engagement or fitting between the lower pavement panels and the upper pavement panels achieved by the joint members.
PORCELAIN TILE INSTALLATIONS FOR VEHICULAR USE
A method of installing a porcelain tile installation for vehicular use is provided. The method can include covering a compacted aggregate surface with a tile bed composition; compacting the tile bed; installing a plurality of porcelain tiles and spacers on the compacted tile bed surface in a predetermined pattern, such that each respective porcelain tile includes a thickness of about 3 cm to about 5 cm; such that one or more spacers includes a base component positioned under adjacent tiles and a vertical component positioned between a sidewall of the adjacent tiles, such that the vertical component provides a joint defined by a spaced distance between the adjacent tiles; adding a polymeric sand composition to each respective joint to obtain a joint-filled porcelain tile surface; compacting the joint-filled porcelain tile surface with a compactor; and activating the polymeric sand composition to obtain the porcelain tile installation for vehicular use.
Support System
A spacer for support elements of a decking or paving support system, has a central region, at least two spacer arms extending laterally from the central region, and a retention portion coupled to the central region, wherein the retention portion has a longest lateral axis extending laterally and wherein the longest lateral axis lies at an angle to each of the at least two spacer arms.
PHASE TRANSFORMING CELLULAR MATRIX (PXCM) BASED TILE DESIGN FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT RUNWAY MAT
A flexible mat system, including a plurality of base platforms, each respective base platform having a first pattern of phase transforming columns and voids extending from a respective flat member, and a plurality of plane-engaging runway platforms, each respective plane-engaging runway platform having a second, reversed pattern of phase transforming columns and voids extending from a respective flat member such that each respective plane-engaging runway platform is lockingly engagable to a respective base platform to yield a landing segment with parallel top and bottom flat members. Each respective base platform is an aluminum/steel composite. Each respective phase transforming column is further comprised of a plurality of stacked operationally connected phase transforming cellular members. Each respective cell further comprises six hexagonally spaced support members defining six hexagonally arrayed sides, with two opposing sides define x-shaped struts extending between adjacent support members. Remaining sides define parallel struts extending between adjacent support members. Each respective phase transforming cellular member can shift from a first stable configuration to a second stable configuration in response to an applied load.
