System and method for customizing a playing field
A customizable tile system includes a tile disposed atop a surface; a forced fluid system comprising a pipe disposed below the tile and operatively coupled to a pump; a bladder operatively connected to the pipe, wherein the bladder is selectively inflatable; a sensor operatively coupled to the bladder; and a control system operable to control the pump. The control system includes a processor in data communication with the sensor, and computer memory, the computer memory comprising a program having machine readable instructions that, when effected by the processor, predicts a location of an impact upon the tile and selectively forces fluid through the pipe to inflate the bladder prior to the impact upon the tile.
Edge protection system having retaining clip
An edge protection system for use with concrete flooring, including a first part for coupling to an edge portion of a first concrete flooring panel and a second part for coupling to an opposed edge portion of a second, neighbouring, concrete flooring panel, wherein the system includes a retaining clip for retaining the second part to the first part, the retaining clip being frangible to allow separation of the first and second parts after setting of the first and second concrete flooring panels.
Expansion joint seal with positioned load transfer member
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.

VOID REDUCING ASPHALT MEMBRANE COMPOSITION, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ASPHALT PAVING APPLICATIONS
A method of sealing pavement joints includes the steps of dispensing a first band of void reducing joint composition on a substrate. Applying a first pass of pavement over at least a portion of the void reducing joint composition. Dispensing a second pass of void reducing joint composition on the substrate. Applying a second pass of pavement of the second band of void reducing joint composition and against an edge of the first pass of pavement.

UNDERLAYMENT PANEL HAVING DRAINAGE CHANNELS
An impact-absorbing assembly includes a covering layer being one or more of artificial turf, rubber mats, polymer mats, short pile carpeting, particulate infill, wood chips, and ground rubber chips. Also included is a layer of underlayment panels positioned beneath the covering layer. The panels have a panel section with a plurality of drain holes formed therethrough. A top surface of the panels is configured to support the covering layer. A bottom surface of the panels has a plurality of bottom projections that cooperate to define bottom channels suitable to permit water flow across the bottom surface, the bottom channels being in fluid communication with the panel drain holes. The bottom projections define a first spring rate characteristic that is part of a first stage and a second spring rate characteristic is part of a second stage, the first stage having a smaller volume of material than the second stage.

Method for correcting concrete slab tilting on subsided ground
A method for correcting the tilt of adjacent concrete slabs on subsided ground and connected at a joint part by tie bars or dowel bars caused by the subsidence of the joint part. The method comprises pushing up a tilted concrete slab by: drilling an injection hole for injecting an expandable resin in one concrete slab at a point 10 to 200 cm away from the joint part and also in the other concrete slab at a point 10 to 200 cm away from the joint part, the point in the other concrete slab being on a line that is orthogonal to the joint part and has the point in the one concrete slab thereon; and simultaneously starting an operation of intermittently injecting an expandable resin from both of the injection holes wherein the expandable resin expands below both of the concrete slabs.
METAL SHEAR CONNECTOR STRUCTURE FOR ADJACENT CONCRETE PANELS
Adjacent concrete wall panels are connected at the vertical joint by a shear connector structure that includes a metal connector angle embedded in a corner portion of one of the panels, and one or more threaded nuts or studs are welded to a flange of the angle. A metal shear connector plate has a hole for each threaded nut or stud and elongated holes or slots for the other concrete panel. After the panels are erected and positioned, the connector plate is bolted to the studs and self-tapping concrete anchor screws are inserted into the slots and threaded into holes formed in the other panel. The studs are formed by machinery weld studs to form a bore with threads at the welded end of each stud.
