METHOD FOR BUILDING A BRIDGE AND BRIDGE-BUILDING APPARATUS

A method for building a bridge, said bridge (4) comprising piers (6) and at least one deck (8), the method comprising: a cantilever step, wherein a girder (16) is set in a cantilevered position relative to a bank or to a constructed zone (12) of the bridge so that the girder comprises a first end (24) overhanging the bank or the constructed zone, and a second end (26) overhanging a construction zone (14) of the bridge, a construction step, wherein pier elements and deck elements (10) are installed in said construction zone (14) via a first and a second lifting devices (18, 20) mounted movable on the girder (16) between the first and second ends (24, 26).

The first and second lifting devices (18, 20) cross one another along the girder during the cantilever step and/or during the construction step.

Associated bridge-building apparatus.

Lightweight universal gap crossing device and method of use

A crossing device aids in crossing from a near side to a far side of an obstacle. It comprises a lead assembly that is projected to the far side of the obstacle and that includes an anchor assembly and a pulley. The anchor assembly has a base, a launch tube that is secured to the base, a spike that is housed within the launch tube, and a propellant charge. The anchor assembly is anchored on the far side of the obstacle by remotely initiating the propellant charge. The explosion force drives the spike through the launch tube and the base, into a landing surface. A bridge is connected to the pulley and is pulled to span across the obstacle. The bridge, lead assembly, and anchor may be collected on the far side for additional uses.

BRIDGE SLIDING DEVICE AND A BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM

The present application describes a bridge sliding device and construction system. The device includes a slide rail assembly, a first sliding component on the rail, and a second sliding component on the first. The second component locks at the start of the first, and the bridge deck truss's weight causes the first component's end to tilt slightly, allowing it to easily cross the junction between the temporary support platform and the bridge pier. This facilitates the smooth crossing of both the first and second components over the junction. Once the first sliding component is in place, the second component unlocks and continues sliding, increasing the travel distance of the bridge deck truss. The system ensures smoother movement of the components, enhancing construction efficiency.
