SNOW SHOVEL WITH REVERSING ELEMENT
20170226710 · 2017-08-10 ·

A snow shovel with a tilting element includes an elongated support having upper and lower ends opposite the upper end and a blade having front and opposite rear portions. The blade is mounted at the lower end of the elongated support and is designed to be movable with a rotary motion between a first shoveling position and a second snow dumping position in which it is at least partially spaced from the elongated support. The blade pivots with respect to the elongated support at a substantial front-end portion thereof. The elongated support includes at least one pair of sliding elements shaped for crawling in use on the ground where the snow shovel rests. The snow shovel includes a rotating unit to rotate the blade operated by a connecting rod, the rotating unit being arranged to allow the blade to rotate between the first and second snow positions.

The present invention relates to a hand or motorized push shovel/plow with directional left or right side disbursement of snow, granular material, thicker liquids and other such desired materials with ease and comfort. The shovel allows a user to direct a shoveled load to a first or a second side of the shovel while moving the shovel in a substantially straight direction and generally comprises a handle, a shaft extending from the handle to a base shovel blade, and a steering mechanism secured along a portion of the shaft or handle and in steering communication with a directional shovel blade that is in a relational arrangement on top of the base shovel blade. The steering mechanism allows a user to angle the directional blade in a left or right direction.

SNOW REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
20170268190 · 2017-09-21 ·

A system for removing snow from easily damaged surfaces such as artificial turf athletic fields includes a modified snow blower used in combination with a vehicle towing a sled. The sled can be a large polymer sheet with side straps and draw bars at one or both ends. The sled also includes tow straps or other attachments for coupling to the vehicle. The snow blower, which can be independent or driven by another vehicle, is modified to cover its cutting edge with an edge guard and to include a set of wheels behind the auger housing. In operation, the snow blower can travel alongside the vehicle and sled and discharge snow onto the sled. When desirable, the sled can be towed to a snow discharge area and emptied. For best results, the snow blower should travel at a constant speed while the sled travels at a variable speed.

SELECTABLE-WIDTH PUSH PLOW
20220205200 · 2022-06-30 ·

A selectable-width push plow for removing snow or other material. The push plow is configurable in any one of several pre-defined blade-width blade configurations without requiring special tools or great dexterity to adjust, while also allowing for compact storage of the device. The push plow includes a plow blade having a first panel and a second panel pivotably interconnected to the first panel. The second panel is pivotable between a retracted position in which the bottom edges of the first and second panel extend transversely to one another, and an extended position in which the bottom edges of the first and second panel extend in a common direction. The push-plow further includes an adjustable-length handle extend substantially vertically the plow blade and a glide adjacent the bottom of each panel to promote gliding of push plow over concrete, macadam or another rough or uneven surface.

FOOT SHOVEL

Provided is a foot shovel comprising a pedal-activated lift and release mechanism. The foot shovel may allow for the relocation of a load, such as snow, dirt, rocks, sand, concrete, and the like, while minimizing exertion of the back, shoulders, and upper body. The foot shovel instead may redirect that exertion to an area of the body that may be less prone to complications and strain due to sudden movement, such as the feet, legs, and lower body. The pedal-activated lift and release mechanism may comprise a series of levers, arms, and axles that transition the foot shovel from a resting state where the foot shovel may acquire a load, to a lifting state that allows movement of the load to a desired location, and, finally, to a release state wherein the load is released from the foot shovel. The pedal-activated lift and release mechanism may transition back to a resting state to repeat the process of relocation. The pedal-activated lift and release mechanism may be actuated by a stepping motion by a user's foot.
