Node structures for lattice frames
A node structure (12, 14) for connecting two or more convergent members (16, 26) of a lattice frame to each other and to one or more other members of the lattice frame. The node structure (12, 14) comprises a pair of opposed spaced-apart faces (30) that are substantially planar and substantially parallel to each other. At least one pair of root formations (32) with respective central longitudinal axes define an interior angle between them, those axes diverging outwardly for alignment with respective members of the lattice frame and converging inwardly between the faces (30). An inner connecting wall (34) between the root formations (32) of the pair connects concave-curved inner edges (36) of the faces and extends in a concave curve around the interior angle to join the root formations (32) of that pair.
Universal block platform jacket connector block
A method includes mounting a first jacket connector block (400) to an apparatus. The first jacket connector block includes a first frame (415), a plurality of first conductor tubes (405) connected to the first frame, a first plurality of releasable connectors (420) coupled to first ends of the first conductor tubes, and a second plurality of releasable connectors (420) coupled to second ends of the first conductor tubes and engaging the apparatus.
Method for the Installation of an Offshore Wind Turbine Tower
The invention relates to a method for the installation of a marine (or in general, aquatic) wind-powered generator tower, wherein said tower advantageously comprises a foundation that is open at the top and equipped with a substantially flat lower slab and a perimeter wall. The method includes, in the different stages thereof, the depositing or removal of ballast material in or from the main cavity of the foundation, and wherein in the absence of said ballast material, the wind-powered generator or the foundation is a floating or self-floating structure. The method is particularly suitable for the installation of wind-powered generators in areas of low depth (or near-shore areas), preferably of less than 15 m.
Gasket for wind turbine
The present invention relates to a gasket adapted for being placed between a transition piece and a monopile of a wind turbine. One embodiment relates to a gasket for formfitting the bottom part of a transition piece of a wind turbine, the gasket primarily manufactured in an elastomeric material and shaped as a hollow elongated body for surrounding at least a part of the monopile when mounted between the transition piece and the monopile, such that the gasket stabilizes the position of the transition piece relative to the monopile. The presently disclosed gasket can substitute the traditional grouting or bolting procedures when mounting a transition piece on a monopile.
STRUCTURAL JOINT FOR OFFSHORE CONSTRUCTIONS AND A METHOD FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF SUCH OFFSHORE FRAME CONSTRUCTIONS AND USE OF SUCH STRUCTURAL JOINT
Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to offshore frame construction. In one example embodiment, an offshore frame construction is disclosed including structural members and a structural joint connecting the structural members. The structural joint includes a fork part, an ear part, and a pin, where the fork part and the ear part includes a bore, and the pin is inserted into the bore. The pin has a non-corroding surface that is a cladding or bushing welded or shrunk or glued or otherwise affixed to the pin which consists of a different material, or the non-corroding surface is continuous with the pin and the pin consists of the non-corroding material. In some specific embodiments, the bore includes a sliding surface, which is fitted with a liner acting as a bearing, and the bearing is an elastomeric bearing.
Offshore structure comprising a coated slip joint and method for forming the same
Offshore structure comprising a pile of a foundation and at least one offshore element, mounted on the pile, forming a slip joint, wherein between an inner surface of the offshore element and an outer surface of the pile: —a coating, especially an anti-fouling coating is provided, increasing friction between the said two surfaces and/or preventing corrosion of one or both of said surfaces and/or —at least two spaced apart areas are provided with a substance, forming a seal between the said outer surface and the said inner surface, near an upper end of the pile and the off shore element and between a lower end of the off shore element and the pile.
TP-FREE MONOPILE AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME
Offshore structure comprising a pile of a foundation and at least one offshore element, mounted on the pile, forming a slip joint, wherein between an inner surface of the offshore element and an outer surface of the pile: a coating, especially an anti-fouling coating is provided, increasing friction between the said two surfaces and/or preventing corrosion of one or both of said surfaces and/or at least two spaced apart areas are provided with a substance, forming a seal between the said outer surface and the said inner surface, near an upper end of the pile and the off shore element and between a lower end of the off shore element and the pile.
UNIVERSAL BLOCK PLATFORM
A method includes providing a lower platform block (300) including a first frame (315), a plurality of docking tubes (305) connected to the first frame, and a plurality of first conductor tubes (310) connected to the first frame. At least a first jacket connector block (400) including a second frame (415) and a plurality of second conductor tubes (405) connected to the second frame is releasably coupled to the lower platform block to align the second conductor tubes with the first conductor tubes. A platform deck block (500) including a third frame (515) defining a deck and a plurality of third conductor tubes (505) connected to the third frame is releasably coupled to the first jacket connector to align the third conductor tubes with the first conductor tubes.
