Temporarily coupling between jacket and pile and method of coupling

A method and apparatus for coupling a jacket with a foundation pile, comprising mounting a first flange with the jacket, contacting a second flange with the foundation pile such that the second flange is supported by the foundation pile, mutually positioning the first flange and the second flange such that the jacket may be supported by the pile through the first flange and the second flange, arranging an inflatable spacing member between the first flange and second flange such that the spacing member contacts both the first flange and second flange for supporting the jacket through the spacing member and inflating the spacing member for increasing a spacing between the first flange and second flange.

Post-grouting Method for Immersed Tube Joint Base

The present application relates to the field of immersed tube jointing, and more particularly relates to a post-grouting method for an immersed tube joint base. The post-grouting method includes the following steps: before locked backfilling of immersed tubes to be implanted, disposing a grouting tube capable of outputting solidifiable slurry in a furrow below immersed tubes; and after the locked backfilling, grouting the immersed tubes by using the grouting tube. For the purposes of adjusting postures and heights of the immersed tubes in case of abnormal settlement during installation, solving the problems on the stabilities and the service lives of immersed tube joints due to settlement of gravel mattresses or a geologic structure thereunder after installation, and enabling the immersed tubes to achieve a better bearing effect on a load during use, the present application provides the post-grouting method for the immersed tube joint base.

Method of Assembly and Installation of an Offshore Support Structure for a Wind Turbine

In the assembly of the support structure of a wind turbine, N sets of a first tubular brace and a second tubular brace extend from a tower support. For each set, the second braces are connected at one or both of their end parts by a casted connection. The first brace or the tower structure has a casting cavity for accommodating an end of the corresponding second brace. In order to assemble the construction, the second brace is inserted into the cavity, after which the end of the first brace is lifted until the end of the second brace is inserted deeply enough into the respective cavity.

Undersea anchoring system and method

An undersea anchor that includes a frame that is fixed to the seafloor by one or more pile anchors, for example grouted pile anchors. The frame is configured to permit it to function with one or more seabed drills to allow the pile anchor(s) to be installed at an angle relative to horizontal so the pile anchors can take horizontal and vertical loads.

Passive grout seal

A passive annular grout seal assembly is disclosed for sealing an annular opening between a driven pile and a skirt pile sleeve for an offshore platform. The annular seals are located at the bottom of the pile sleeves near sea floor and automatically activated when piles are inserted and driven through the pile sleeves without any active operational procedure during offshore piling. The seal configuration fully utilizes the seal height, the grout column height and the density difference between grout and sea water to produce enhanced sealing capacity against the column of grout above.

Method for forming a connection between two pipe segments of different widths and a correspondingly produced connection

The invention relates to a method for forming a connection between two pipe segments of different widths, preferably of a tower-like structure, in particular of a wind turbine. In order to be able to connect pipe segments of different widths more easily, reliably and cost-effectively to one another, it is provided that the wider pipe segment is pushed with one end partially over an end of the narrower pipe segment, that the pipe segments are positioned apart from one another by forming an annular gap between the pipe segments, that in the annular gap between the two pipe segments a separating layer extending in the longitudinal direction of the pipe segments and/or in the radial direction is provided, that the annular gap adjacent to the separating layer and at least one side of the separating layer is at least partially cast with a casting compound, that during the hardening of the casting compound the casting compound forms a firm connection on one side of the separating layer with only one of the pipe segments and/or the casting compound forms a firm connection on the other side of the casting compound, only with the other pipe segment and that the pipe segments after the hardening of the casting compound are separated again along the separating layer with the assigned separate connecting elements in particular formed by the hardened casting compound.

Method and apparatus for mechanical connection between an offshore structure and a subsea pile

A method for connecting an offshore structure (2) to a subsea pile (1) includes inserting a connecting portion (14) of the structure inside the subsea pile. The connecting portion (14) comprises a plurality of outwardly moveable clamping members (5). Moving each of the plurality of clamping members (5) into gripping contact with an inside surface of the subsea pile provides a mechanical connection. The method may also include a grouting step to make the connection permanent.

Method of manufacturing a connection between two tube segments of a tower-like structure

A method of fixing an offshore structure to a pre-piled foundation pile is provided. A tube is piled into the sea floor and the offshore structure includes a leg inserted into the foundation pile. Grout is applied to a first region between an end portion of the leg and the sea floor within the foundation pile. The grout is allowed to at least partially cure, and then grout is applied to a second region. The second region is an annular region between the leg and the foundation pile.
