METHOD OF AND SYSTEM FOR INSTALLING FOUNDATION ELEMENTS IN AN UNDERWATER GROUND FORMATION
A method of installing foundation elements, in particular (mono)piles having a diameter of five meters or more, in an underwater ground formation includes lowering a leader from a surface vessel with at least the tip of the leader into the water, and lowering a foundation element and/or a noise mitigation screen along the leader.
LIFTING DEVICE FOR LIFTING AN UPPER PART OF A SEA PLATFORM
The present invention relates to a lifting device for lifting an upper part of a sea platform, the sea platform comprising a support structure and a top side, the lifting device being constructed to be positioned on a lifting vessel, the lifting device comprising: a base frame constructed to rest on the lifting vessel, at least one console frame connected to the base frame via a flexible connection system, a suspension system connected to the console frame and comprising a leg connector, wherein the suspension system is constructed to allow freedom of movement of the leg connector relative to the console frame, wherein the flexible connection system forms a flexible connection between the console frame and the base frame and allows a predetermined movement of the console frame.
Passive Grout Seal
A passive annular grout seal assembly is disclosed for sealing an annular opening between a driven pile and a skirt pile sleeve for an offshore platform. The annular seals are located at the bottom of the pile sleeves near sea floor and automatically activated when piles are inserted and driven through the pile sleeves without any active operational procedure during offshore piling. The seal configuration fully utilizes the seal height, the grout column height and the density difference between grout and sea water to produce enhanced sealing capacity against the column of grout above.
Method for installing an elongate element in a stretch of water, and associated device and installation
A method for installation of an elongate element in a stretch of water, the method including reversible fastening of a connecting member (34) at a first end (16) of the elongate element (10); arranging the elongate element (10) in a substantially horizontal configuration; reversibly engaging the connecting member (34) in a retaining member (36); pivoting the elongate element (10) about a substantially horizontal axis to move the elongate element (10) into a substantially vertical configuration, while the connecting member (34) remains engaged in the retaining member (36); joint lowering of the retaining member (36), the connecting member (34) and the elongate element (10) in the stretch of water (12) with the help of a lowering line (152); detaching the connecting member (34) of the first end (16) of the elongate element (10), and joint raising of the retaining member (36) and the connecting member (34).
Offshore tower for drilling and/or production
An offshore structure comprises a hull having a longitudinal axis, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end. In addition, the structure comprises an anchor coupled to the lower end of the hull and configured to secure the hull to the sea floor. The anchor has an aspect ratio less than 3:1. The hull includes a variable ballast chamber positioned axially between the first end and the second end of the hull and a first buoyant chamber positioned between the variable ballast chamber and the first end of the hull. The first buoyant chamber is filled with a gas and sealed from the surrounding environment. Further, the structure comprises a ballast control conduit in fluid communication with the variable ballast chamber and configured to supply a gas to the variable ballast chamber. The structure also comprises a topside mounted to the first end of the hull.
Method for monitoring movement of a cantilever structure of an offshore platform, monitoring system, offshore platform
A method for monitoring movement of a cantilever structure of an offshore platform, such as a jack-up platform or a self-elevating vessel, comprising providing a boundary model containing boundary limiting information of positions of the cantilever structure, wherein the boundary limiting information comprises at least position information of boundary limiting elements, such as obstacles; providing, during movement of the cantilever, position information of the cantilever representing an actual position of the cantilever; determining, during movement of the cantilever, a difference between the cantilever position information and the boundary limiting information of the boundary model; providing an output signal when the determined difference exceeds a predefined threshold value.
METHOD FOR STABILIZING A JACK-UP PLATFORM UNIT
Method for stabilizing a jack-up platform unit, the unit including a hull, a plurality of legs which are extendible from and/or through the hull and which are arranged to support the platform unit during off-shore operations, and a jacking system arranged to move the legs between a transport position and an operational position, wherein the jacking system is also arranged to move the hull along the plurality of legs between a floating position and an operational position, the method comprising the steps of lowering the plurality of legs until the legs stand on or in the seabed, raising the hull substantially above the sea surface, temporarily applying a preloading on the plurality of legs, further raising the hull to an operational height above the sea surface.
VESSEL AND METHOD FOR INSTALLATION OF A PILE ADAPTED TO SUPPORT AN OFFSHORE WIND TURBINE
A vessel and a method for installation of a pile adapted to support an offshore wind turbine are described. The method includes a) suspending the pile from a hoisting cable in a substantially vertical orientation; b) providing a lower end of the pile in a pile holding system limiting horizontal motion of a pile portion held by the pile holding system; and c) lowering the pile with the pile being held by the pile holding system. The lowering includes at least lowering the pile through a splash zone of a body of water, and during step c), two tugger lines are directly or indirectly connected to the pile at a location between the pile holding system and the hoisting cable, said tugger lines being operated to damp motion of the pile in two respective horizontal directions.
Universal block platform jacket connector block
A method includes mounting a first jacket connector block (400) to an apparatus. The first jacket connector block includes a first frame (415), a plurality of first conductor tubes (405) connected to the first frame, a first plurality of releasable connectors (420) coupled to first ends of the first conductor tubes, and a second plurality of releasable connectors (420) coupled to second ends of the first conductor tubes and engaging the apparatus.
