20180038060 · 2018-02-08 ·

Example embodiments relate to apparatuses, systems, and methods for securing an offshore platform to a bottom of a body of water comprising a shear assembly and a sleeve assembly. The shear assembly is operable to secure to the offshore platform at a first end and having a first connector portion at a second end. The sleeve assembly comprises a sleeve body forming an interior opening, the interior opening operable to receive at least a pile. The sleeve assembly further comprises a second connector portion secured to the sleeve body, the second connector portion securable to and un-securable from the first connector portion of the shear assembly.

System for transporting an offshore structure

System for transporting an offshore structure, the system comprising: a transport apparatus, in particular a vessel or a vehicle, which is configured to receive an offshore structure and to form a slip joint with a slip joint section of a received offshore structure, wherein the system is configured to enter a releasable state, from a fixing state, wherein, in the releasable state, the slip joint formed by the transport apparatus and the offshore structure is smaller than that force in the fixing state.

Method and apparatus of hot tapping multiple coaxial or nested strings of underwater piping and/or tubing for overturned wells or platforms

A method and apparatus for tapping into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle. The assembly includes a tapping tool connectable to the tubular via a saddle connection and an adjustable tapping clamp with adjustable support/locking feet, compression plate with view ports, and angularly adjustable hot tapping system, along with a drill/saw system.

Subsea assembly modularization

A foundation for a subsea assembly is provided. The foundation includes connection points. The connection points permit other components to be connected to the foundation and permit loads to transfer from the other components into the foundation. The foundation may be a suction anchor. A method of converting an exploration well using the foundation to a production well is also provided.

HIGH POWER LASER OFFSHORE DECOMMISSIONING TOOL, SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE

There is provided high power laser systems, high power laser tools, and methods of using these tools and systems for cutting, sectioning and removing structures objects, and materials, and in particular, for doing so in difficult to access locations and environments, such as offshore, underwater, or in hazardous environments, such as nuclear and chemical facilities. Thus, there is also provided high power laser systems, high power laser tools, and methods of using these systems and tools for removing structures, objects, and materials located offshore, under bodies of water and under the seafloor.

Dual Operation Rig

A dual tower rig includes a hull supported by one or more legs and includes a cantilever assembly coupled to the hull. Dual towers are supported by a skidding system that is coupled to the cantilever assembly. The towers are configured to conduct independent operations and are movable relative to each other and to the hull by the skidding system and the cantilever assembly.

System and method for cutting of offshore structures

A system for cutting an underwater structure, the system comprising: a cutting head, said cutting head comprising: an abrasive water jetting nozzle; a cryogenic nozzle; said abrasive water jetting nozzle and cryogenic nozzle mounted in fixed spaced relation; said cutting head arranged to position tips of the nozzles proximate to a cutting surface, and arranged to form a cutting zone defined by the nozzle tips and cutting surface; wherein a water repelling shield is located about said cutting zone and arranged to hinder water entering said cutting zone.

ARTICULATING DRILL METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CUTTING OPENINGS IN NESTED STRINGS OF UNDERWATER PIPING AND OR TUBING FOR OVERTURNED WELLS OR PLATFORMS

A method and apparatus for angularly drilling during a tapping procedure into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle.

Apparatus and a method for transportation, installation and retrieval of marine structures

An apparatus (1) for transportation, installation and retrieval of marine structures (10) is disclosed and illustrated. It comprises at least two suitably connected vessels (1,2) with adjustable buoyancy, each having a first end (5) and a second end (8). The apparatus is equipped with lifting mechanism for lifting a marine structure on and from it. The vessels (1,2) are connected to each other at each said first end (5) at an angle (4) and are free at each said second end (8), thus forming a V-shape. The invention also embraces the methodology for transportation, installation and retrieval of marine structures, using the apparatus (1).

Foundation modularization

A foundation includes connection points. The connection points are configured to permit components to be connected to the foundation and permit loads to transfer from the components into the foundation. The foundation may be a suction anchor.
