A DEVICE FOR SECURING A CONNECTION TO BE FORMED BETWEEN A LEG OF A MARINE STRUCTURE AND A PILE OF A FUNDAMENT FASTENED IN A SEABED
A device is for securing a connection to be formed between a leg of a marine structure and a pile of a fundament fastened in a seabed. The connection has the leg partly inserted into an opening of the pile. The device is configured to be firmly connected to the leg. The device comprises a sleeve element configured, together with the leg of the marine structure, to be brought to vicinity of an upper portion of the pile. The device further has a clamping arrangement attached to the sleeve element comprising at least one clamping device configured to form an attachment between the sleeve element and the upper portion of the pile.
Method of securing and transferring a load between a vessel and an offshore installation and an apparatus therefor
The offshore jack-up has a hull and a plurality of moveable legs engageable with the seafloor. The offshore jack-up is arranged to move the legs with respect to the hull to position the hull out of the water. The method comprises securing the vessel with respect to the hull of the offshore jack-up when the hull is positioned out of the water and the legs engage the seafloor. A lifting mechanism mounted on the offshore jack-up engages with a cargo carrying platform positioned on the vessel. The platform is lifted with the lifting mechanism between a first position on the vessel and a second position clear of the vessel.
DETERIORATION MODELS DEVELOPMENT METHOD FOR OFFSHORE JACKET-TYPE PLATFORMS
Methods of determining an offshore jacket platform’s condition including determining a geometry, a plurality of loads, and a material composition of an offshore jacket platform; obtaining a base shear at collapse when the offshore jacket platform is intact; calculating a residual resistance factor; determining a criticality factor for each of a plurality of members on the offshore jacket platform; determining a structural health condition state; determining the probability of deterioration; and modeling a rate of deterioration. Another aspect of the disclosure includes methods of determining an offshore jacket platform’s condition in case of lack of inspection records including selecting a corrosion wastage model for splash zones and immersion zones, identifying distribution parameters for the legs and bracings of the jacket platform; determining a structural health condition state for leg and bracing; aggregating probable structural health condition states; and modeling a rate of deterioration of the offshore jacket platform.
Boat lift construct
A boat lift is attached to piles driven into the earth or to another object. The boat lift is held in horizontal position relative to piles or the object to which it is attached, but vertical movement of the boat lift relative to the object is permitted. The boat lift is connected to the piles by modular units or cube constructs that have a post extending there through. The post has a blade extending from it. The blades are attached at an angle, according to the application, to pile guides that engage piles. The pile guides vertically traverse the piles, permitting the boat lift to move vertically relative to the object, but fixing the horizontal position of the boat lift.
Crane vessel
A jack-up crane vessel or semi-submersible crane vessel is provided including a hull with a deck, and a crane on the hull for hoisting a load outside the deck. The crane includes a slewing crane base with a first suspension, an elongated boom that is rotatable around a horizontal rotation axis with respect to the first suspension, at least two pendants between the boom and the first suspension that mutually converge toward the distal boom section, a boom spacer between the boom and the first suspension, and a boom luffing installation for driving the rotation of the boom around the horizontal rotation axis between a lowered transport position and a raised operational position. In the direction of the vertical rotation axis the first suspension extends at least in the lowered transport position of the boom above the boom heel of the boom.
JACK-UP PLATFORM COMPRISING A MOORING SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR MOORING A FLOATING VESSEL
A jack-up platform is described having a horizontal working deck that may be jacked up out of the water by moving its legs to a position wherein they take support on an underwater bottom. The jack-up platform further comprises a mooring system for mooring a floating vessel at a mooring side of the jack-up platform. The mooring system comprises an elongated support means for supporting a hull part of the floating vessel, and guiding means connected to the hull of the jack-up platform at the mooring side. The guiding means are able to rigidly hold the elongated support means in a support position, in which the elongated support means is within reach of the hull part of the floating vessel to be supported when the hull is jacked out of the water and the jack-up platform rests on its legs. A method for mooring a floating vessel using the jack-up platform is also described.
Offshore structure and method for attaching a tube or cable to an appliance of an offshore structure
Provided is an offshore structure, especially offshore wind turbine, including a platform that is connected to the seabed, especially via a foundation that carries the platform, and an appliance, wherein it comprises guiding means for guiding at least one tube or cable along a guidance path from a respective entry point at which the tube or cable enters the platform to a respective connection point at which the tube or cable is connected or connectable to the appliance.
Floating platform
A floating platform is attached to another object. The object may be fixed to the earth or it may be a floating object such as a floating dock or a vessel. The floating platform is held in horizontal position relative to the object to which it is attached, but vertical movement of the floating platform relative to the object is permitted. The object is connected to the floating platform by devices that have blades extending from. Each blade slidably engages a bracket, with the slidable blade permitting horizontal adjustment of the distance of the floating platform from the object during installation of the floating platform. Guide posts or piles slidably engage pile guides mounted to the object, permitting the floating platform to move vertically relative to the object, but fixing the floating platform's horizontal position relative to the object.
Building structure inside and above a swimming pool or man-made lagoon pool
The purpose of this invention is to provide a method of constructing a building structure inside and above a swimming pool or, man-made lagoon pool to produce the tropical, exotic resort experience of being surrounded by water in a building. This invention is new because of the use of the invention method of constructing over inside and above a pool or man-made lagoon/body of water pool, instead of an ocean, lake, or other natural body of water. The method of constructing in a pool is the innovation.
Method for foundation of a transformer platform and transformer platform with at least three piles
