Marine Navigational Aid Apparatus and Method
A marine navigational aid for use with a piling. This marine navigational aid comprises a flexible wrap, at least one affixment mechanism coupled to the flexible wrap, and a plurality of alphanumeric characters disposed on an exterior side of the flexible wrap.
A BUILDING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a building system and a method of making and assembling the building system. In particular, the present invention relates to a footing for a building structure, the footing comprises a plurality of precast concrete layers, each precast concrete layer comprising reinforcement bars and a plurality of apertures. The footing further comprises a base structure comprising a base plate and a plurality of alignment bars protruding from the base plate. The footing is configured such that when the plurality of precast concrete layers are positioned on top of one another, the plurality of alignment bars of the base structure extend through the respective apertures of each precast concrete layer. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a building structure having one or more building modules.
End frame for use with trench shield
An end frame includes a guide having a channel therethrough for receiving a sheet piling and a pair of hangers for hanging the end frame from a spreader of a trench shield. The end frame hangs from the spreader and bears against the adjacent ends of the sidewalls of the trench shield to provide a channel through which sheet piling can be inserted and stabilized as the sheet piling is driven into the soil adjacent to the end of the trench shield. The sheet piling and the end frame prevent unwanted cave-ins of soil into the workspace between the sidewalls of the trench shield without imparting unwanted buckling forces to the midsection of the spreader from which the end frame hangs. The hangers may be rigidly coupled to the guide or they may be coupled to the guide through chains, cables, straps or through pivoting linkages.
SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR A BUILDING STRUCTURE
A support assembly for supporting a building structure, the support assembly comprising: a pile adapted to be buried into a ground surface, the pile having a longitudinal axis; a pile head adapted to be secured to a top end of a pile, the pile head including a mounting member engaging the pile and an extendable member movably mounted to the mounting member, the extendable member being movable relative to the mounting member, along the longitudinal axis, the extendable member including: a support platform adapted to receive the support beam of the manufactured home's support frame thereon; and at least one holding member adapted to engage the building structure and to prevent movement of the support beam relative to the support platform.
Cased piles
A pile for stabilizing soil for building a structure thereon includes a casing having an upper end opposite a lower end, a shaft positioned inside the casing, the shaft having a first end proximal to the upper end of the casing and a second end proximal to the lower end of the casing, wherein the casing and the shaft are substantially coaxial; and a plate attached proximal to the upper end of the casing and holding the shaft inside the casing. Optionally, the plate has one or more grout holes to allow liquid grout to flow into the casing along the shaft, potentially increasing the stability of the pile in soil.
System for and method of stabilizing rail track structures using a load transfer apparatus
A system for and method of stabilizing rail track structures using a load transfer apparatus is disclosed. The load transfer apparatus includes a vertical load transfer element with at least one cross-sectional rib and a top load transfer element with at least one longitudinal vertical fin, wherein the top load transfer element is used to transfer applied locomotive and rail car loads to the vertical load transfer element. In one embodiment, the vertical load transfer element comprises a plurality of cross-sectional ribs spaced along a length of the vertical load transfer element. In another embodiment, the top load transfer element comprises a plurality of longitudinal vertical fins spaced along a perimeter of the top load transfer element to enhance stability of the top load transfer element.
Pile cap connectors
An improved pile cap connector for connecting the top end of a driven pile, e.g., pipe pile, to a support beam or girder of a building, and/or the building proper, comprising, a cap plate, one or more lower braces secured to the underside of the cap plate to anchor the cap to the pile, two or more upper braces securable to the top side of the support plate, wherein at least one of the two or more upper braces has a length so that the brace, when secured to the cap plate, rises above the support beam or girder so that a portion of the brace lays against the building proper for fastening thereto.
Reducing trenching at mooring lines
The present techniques are directed to systems and a method for reducing trenching around piles. An exemplary method includes attaching a mooring line to one end of a padeye extender bar that is coupled by another end to a padeye on the pile. The pile is installed in a sediment layer. The padeye extender bar is deployed to hold an attachment point for the mooring line above the sedimenlt layer.
Supports for Helical Piles and Anchors
The present disclosure provides a lateral support for a shaft of a helical pile, the lateral support including a tubular portion for receiving the shaft and a plurality of fins extending from the tubular portion.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A FOUNDATION ELEMENT IN THE GROUND
The invention relates to a method and a system for producing a foundation element in the ground by means of a construction apparatus, wherein by means of a ground working tool a hole is formed in the ground, in which the foundation element is produced, wherein by means of a control and evaluation unit at least one operating variable of the construction apparatus, which changes depending on a ground composition, is detected as a function of a working depth. According to the invention provision is made in that in the control and evaluation unit a ground profile to be expected is entered, which indicates a layer structure of the ground with ground layers of different ground composition, and in that by the control and evaluation unit the detected, at least one operating variable is set in correlation with the stated ground profile in order to establish, at which working depth a transition between ground layers of different ground composition is present.
