MINI-SKID STEER LOADER EXTRACTOR
20170073997 · 2017-03-16 ·

A tool or extractor which is lightweight and portable. The tool includes a plate which is mountable to a mini-skid steer loader. The tool includes a first jaw member which is fixed. The first jaw member is preferably welded or otherwise attached to or engaged with the plate. The tool also includes a second jaw member. The second jaw member is moveable, such as via a hydraulic cylinder, and is pivotably connected the plate. The hydraulic cylinder is also preferably pivotably connected to the plate, and is controlled in order to affect a grip on a thing to be extracted. The mini-skid steer loader is then operable to pull up on the thing, and extract the thing from the ground.

METHOD FOR AUDIO REPRODUCTION IN A MULTI-CHANNEL SOUND SYSTEM
20170026768 · 2017-01-26 ·

The invention relates to a method for reproducing audio in a multi-channel sound system including two input signals (L and R), wherein output signals are generated for different sound perception levels. In order to develop said method in such a way that audio can be reproduced within a larger range of applications in a multi-channel sound system, according to the invention, only a lower sound perception level (7) and a higher sound perception level (6) are generated, and a maximum of six output signals are generated, a maximum of two output signals being allocated to the lower sound perception level (7) and a maximum of four output signals being allocated to the higher sound perception level (6).

Seen in a vertical operating position, the weak soil anchor device (1) comprises: an elongate inner continuous open box structure (2) with a triangular cross-section comprising a first wall surface (3), second wall surface (4) and third wall surface (5), an outer continuous open box structure (10) with a smaller vertical extent than the inner box structure (2) and having a triangular cross-section consisting of a first outer wall surface (11), second outer wall surface (12) and third outer wall surface (13), the vertical center area (14) of the first, second and third outer wall surfaces is connected to the inner elongate continuous open box structure (2) in a lower area of respectively an outer edge area between the first and second wall surface (3, 4), second and third wall surface (4, 5) and the third and first wall surfaces (5, 3), and anchor brackets (20) are arranged in a lower outer area of the weak soil anchor device (1), where the weak soil anchor device comprising the inner and outer box structure (2, 10) is lowered down into the weak soils to a desired depth.

Systems, assemblies, components, and methods for removing inground utility poles

The electric power industry has long standing practices for removal of aged and damaged utility power poles, which are not only time consuming, but unsafe for workers. To address this, the present inventors devised better methods, some of which entail cutting off the top portion of an inground utility pole to produce a pole butt, rotating the inground pole butt about its vertical axis to free the pole from the grip of the surrounding earth, and applying a lifting force to the pole butt during and/or after the rotation. Some embodiments implement the method using a rotary coupler, which couples a rotary drive via one or more pole collaring devices and/or one or more pole penetrating devices, to the pole butt, reducing pole butt removal time by at least half according to some estimates, while also improving safety.

Removable shoring element

A shoring element has a shoring plate and a shaft received within a shaft receiver of the shoring plate. The shoring plate is rotatable and is permitted limited axial movement along the shaft. During installation, rotating the shaft in a first direction drives the shaft into the ground formation and causes the drive collar to contact a drive shoulder of the shoring plate such that the drive collar applies a driving force to the shoring plate. During removal, the shaft is rotated in a second direction to withdraw the shaft from the ground formation and the drive collar to move away from the drive shoulder. Applying an upward force to the lifting points causes the shoring plate to move axially relative to the shaft.
